फरीदाबाद सेक्टर-21सी मकान नंबर 641 में तीसरे तल पर रहने वाले मोनू शर्मा ने प्रथम तल पर रहने वाले परमजीत की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी। दोनों के बीच विवाद दिन में ही शुरू हो गया था जो अनखीर पुलिस चौकी तक पहुंच गया।
वहां दिन में ही अनखीर पुलिस चौकी में मोनू ने परमजीत को पुलिस के सामने ही धमकी दी थी, आज रात तक तुझे जिंदा नहीं छोडूंगा।
सभी ने सोचा वह ऐसे ही धमकी दे रहा है, मगर रात में उसने सचमुच परमजीत की हत्या कर दी। यदि समय रहते पुलिस आरोपित को हिरासत में ले लेती या पीड़ित काे सुरक्षा मुहैया करा देती तो शायद यह घटना न होती।
सिंगापुर बेस्ड कंपनी के सीओओ परमजीत अधिकतर बाहर रहते थे। एक सप्ताह पहले माेनू ने रात में उनकी पार्किंग का गेट तोड़ दिया था। तब परमजीत सिंगापुर में थे। बृहस्पतिवार को वह सिंगापुर से लौटे थे।
शनिवार सुबह परमजीत के बेटे शौर्य ने माेनू से गेट ठीक कराने के लिए कहा था, तब मोनू ने उसके साथ गाली-गलौज की और कहा कि मैं पिल्लों से बात नहीं करता, अपने बाप को भेज।
उस वक्त परमजीत जिम गए हुए थे। शौर्य ने फोन कर यह बात उन्हें बताई तो वे सीधा अनखीर पुलिस चौकी चले गए और मोनू शर्मा के खिलाफ शिकायत दे दी। पुलिस ने मोनू को चौकी बुला लिया। वहां दोनों के बीच समझौता हो गया। इस दौरान मोनू ने परमजीत को जान से मारने की धमकी दी थी।
रात नौ बजे जब मोनू ने परमजीत को बात करने के लिए पार्किंग में बुलाया तो सबसे पहले कहा कि कभी देखा है विधवा कैसी होती है। तुझे भगवान पर बहुत भरोसा है, तुझे उसी के पास भेज देता हूं।
इसके बाद उसने अपने दोनों हाथों में ली हुई पिस्तौल से ताबड़तोड़ फायरिंग कर दीं। गोलियां परमजीत को लगने के अलावा कारों और दीवारों पर भी लगी।
मोनू ने मकान नंबर 641 के पास ही एक प्लॉट लिया हुआ था। उसमें वह रात में अपने दोस्तों संग खूब हुड़दंग करता था। देर रात तक तेज आवाज में संगीत बजाना और हवाई फायरिंग करना उसकी आदत में शुमार था। उसके पास कई लग्जरी कार हैं, उन्हें वह तेज आवाज और रफ्तार में सेक्टर की सड़कों पर भगाता था।
सेक्टर के निवासी उससे काफी परेशान थे, मगर कुछ कह नहीं पाते थे। किसी को भी नहीं मालूम की वह काम क्या करता है। करीब एक साल पहले उसके ऊपर जीएसटी चोरी के आरोप लगे थे। जीएसटी विभाग ने उसके यहां छापा भी मारा था।
उसने दो लाइसेंसी पिस्टल ली हुई थीं। जब उसने परमजीत को गोली मारी, उसके पास तीन पिस्टल थीं। परमजीत के दोस्तों का दावा है कि पुलिस ने माेनू के बैग से 100 गोलियां बरामद की हैं।

Dear Concerned Indian Doctors,
I see your rage against Temple on X. I have a few points
to make:
1. First and foremost, a business lesson: if Temple were a scam, and any of what we said weren't true, people would know it in just a few days of using Temple. We have 14-day, no-questions-asked returns (which even Apple doesn't offer in India). If the product doesn't work, it fails out of the gate and the company dies before recovering a tenth of its R&D.
2. We have already spent $30m building Temple, $20m out of which is my own money. Selling a few thousand devices recovers a small fraction of this investment. A scam that pays nothing is not a scam anyone would run.
3. I left the Eternal CEO role to chase purpose with Temple. This is not about money. I have enough of it to last for generations. My incentives are fully aligned with getting the science right. I am not staking a reputation earned over 20 years on making a quick buck.
4. Our employees bought into our round a few months ago. The round we're raising now is mostly our customers. Scams don't build that cap table.
5. Most wearable companies start with internal studies. Whoop shipped its band in 2015, and the first published validation followed a few years later. We hold ourselves to a higher standard; pre-prints are a step prior to peer reviewed publications, and they are coming up.
6. At some point you have to stick your neck out and say: we believe in our science, and the product is now valuable enough for people to pay for and use. We believe we are there. More validation continues in public.
7. We are confident that we are building something that the world is going to be positively astonished with. We stand by our science and our methods. Each of our claims is easily verifiable by individuals and institutions alike, and you will see a lot of independent studies come up on their own when the device becomes available to use.
Last but not the least, the most ground breaking features in Temple are not even public yet. And some of them, thankfully, have nothing to do with doctors 🤭
