Humanitarian demining, training and humanitarian assistance. Supporting local teams in conflict-affected areas. US 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Ukrainians need access to their homes, farmland and essential services while the war continues. Mines and unexploded ordnance make that harder, and more dangerous. In areas where teams can operate, humanitarian demining removes these hazards and helps restore access. Sustained support enables that work to continue, even as the war creates new needs.

We’re sending a pallet of cold-weather gear, including sleeping bags and boots to Ukrainian Police EOD operators ahead of a hard winter. Their work continues through the cold. Having the right gear matters when you’re spending long days outside dealing with explosive hazards. We’re aiming to send supplies riunded up by the team in the US every month or so. If you’d like to contribute, you can purchase an item from IGR’s Amazon wishlist. It will ship to our U.S. receiving address for onward shipment to Ukraine. a.co/0gwababh

Working alongside other Ukrainian NGOs means sharing knowledge, learning from one another and building the relationships that support an effective response. These first aid sessions are one part of that work. Each organization brings experience and skills, and working together helps us make better use of both. #strongertogether

For people in Ukraine, explosive hazards can make a journey home, a day’s farming or an aid delivery dangerous. IGR supports local teams through training and technical support in humanitarian demining, helping build the expertise needed to address those hazards and restore safe access to homes, farmland and essential services. #InvictusGlobalResponse #HumanitarianDemining #Ukraine

Landmines and unexploded ordnance put people at risk long before clearance teams can reach every affected area. In Kharkiv, IGR supports Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE), helping people recognize danger, avoid unsafe actions and understand how to report suspected explosive hazards. We use a variety of both physical and digital education materials to help explain what people might encounter and what to do if they find something suspicious. The aim is to prevent injuries and help people protect themselves and their families. To learn more, visit: invictusglobalresponse.org #CivilianProtection #EORE #MineAction

$15,450 stands between a new team and deployment. IGR Ukraine is preparing an eight-person Ukrainian demining team for Kharkiv Oblast. We’ve raised $4,550 of our $20,000 launch goal. The remaining funds will pay for training and certification and provide the uniforms, protective equipment and detectors the team needs to deploy. Every donation is currently matched. Help us close the gap and put this team in the field. Recently, I was challenged as to why demining matters if a war is still going on, and that clearing explosive hazards clears the way for invaders. It was a real stretch of an argument on her end, but the reality is, behind the front lines, people still are living in these communities and humanitarian routes need to be cleared to ensure access. For years @Invictus_GR has been working in a number of areas in Kharkiv to ensure access remains open so people can travel safely and equipment can move where it is needed.

Almost a year in and the Zmiy is still alive and well. It has chewed through quite a bit of land in the Izium direction, but the constant FPV threats makes it we don’t want to share much of it in action in those locations.
Donor support put IGR’s Ukrainian-built #Rovertech Zmiy to work in the Kharkiv Region. The Zmiy is a remotely operated demining machine that clears dense vegetation and prepares mine-contaminated ground for trained deminers. It can prepare up to 2.5 hectares per day at a fraction of the cost of larger conventional demining systems. Our experience has shown another important advantage: mobility. With FPV drones posing an increasing threat in our operational areas, equipment that can be transported and repositioned quickly is better suited to changing conditions.
