Fair play to Gript which has been the sole domestic media outlet to report the jawdropping non-Irish on social housing waiting lists, first brought to prominence by Councillor Gavin Pepper for Dublin City Council.
The fact that 9% of the housing list in Dublin is Somalian should have been frontpage news across all media. It was ignored apart from Gript, though Fox News did scrutinise the figures.
We asked Grok to sort the waiting lists in last year's Housing Agency report by % non-EEA applicant below.
About time, some frog shouted "the water is boiling!" even if our mainstream media is ignoring it.

This is what those who want to reduce the conversation about what it means to be Irish to an argument about skin colour - in order to dismiss the dialogue as racist - don’t want you to realise.
Ethnicity is about ancestry, not the colour of your skin. There is only a certain extent to which you can have a multiethnic society without it becoming multicultural because culture is passed down generationally. That is why preserving the ethnic make up of a country matters if it is to remain culturally recognisable.

Merkel signed a peace deal with Putin. When asked why she did not enforce it, she said, ‘We never intended to honor the peace deal. We were just buying time for Ukraine to build an army.’
Why would Russia trust anything you now claim is a peace deal?

It seems everyone is entitled to an opinion on Irish citizenship except the Irish citizens who are actually affected by it.

Let's not forget that the Irish State proposed a Bill to delimit our private property for the common good of all 'residents'.
The Bill sat quietly for awhile and didn't progress - but now the EU is going to do this dirty work. Be sure the Irish political class will roll in behind this.
I hosted a Town Hall for 200 people in Ratoath Meath about this - and other national issues like the WHO treaty - back in 2022 - nobody believed it was real until they saw it.

If you truly respect the host country, you'll accept whatever standard they set for citizenship humbly, gratefully and without complaint. You're not entitled to citizenship - it's a privilege, not a right.

I only know two Russians personally, both charming
My enemies are at home.
What If?
What if the Russian People and people in countries all over the world were actually all quite friendly after all and it was just a tiny group of profiteers and international psychopaths creating emnity and making money from war.
What if these people were lying to us all about the other fellow creating fear via their media and creating black propaganda for power and for profit.
It’s an awful thought.
Personally we prefer to create profit and goodwill from Cornish Pasties and Scones rather than drones.
And make friends not war.

Eurostat’s July figures are staggering. Ireland is in the highest per capita band, with 22 per 1,000 Population under temporary protection from Ukraine, compared with an EU wide rate of 9.8. That’s 2.2 times the EU rate. Put it another way, 1 in every 46 people in Ireland is now a Ukrainian under temporary protection. Ireland is thousands of kilometres from Ukraine. These numbers are staggering.
