This Thanksgiving, we’re grateful for our incredible volunteer mentors, generous sponsors, supportive fire service communities, and the young women who inspire us every day. Together, we continue to engage, encourage, and empower the next generation of women in emergency services
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Today, Island Ignite invites you to pause, reflect, and listen. We encourage everyone to reflect on how we approach conversations about Truth and Reconciliation with openness, respect, compassion, and a willingness to listen and learn.
Just a reminder, we are hosting our Annual AGM on September 27th at 7pm virtually. If you want to participate please email an rsvp to [email protected]
We hope to see you there!

Today, we pause to reflect on the events of September 11, 2001, and honour all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to others. We remember our brothers and sisters in the fire service and emergency services who ran toward danger to protect their communities.

Thank you to All-Ways Towing for providing four vehicles for the auto-extrication station at IIMS 2026.
Your generous support gave our participants the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience using real vehicles while learning essential auto-extrication techniques.
A heartfelt thank you to @fswbc for sponsoring the healthy fireground snacks at Island Ignite 2026!
Keeping our participants fuelled and energized throughout an action-packed weekend is an important part of creating a positive camp experience.
