Claim from semi-official news agency Fars (close to Iranian right wing & IRGC):
- 5 different heads of state and 8 different heads of intelligence agencies have directly contacted Iranian officials in the past few days and tried to push for a ceasefire.
- The heads of these countries openly talk about the extreme pressure on Trump from the Israel lobby.
- Trump very strongly wants a meeting with Iran and agreement. The United States is willing to eliminate Witkoff and replace him with Vance as the main negotiator, as requested by Iran (who view Witkoff as close to Netenyahu's inner circle).
- The source saying this to Fars states the Americans believe that energy prices will very rapidly increase starting from next week under current conditions and would like to avoid this.
