How much pressure are lawmakers under to raise $$$? LOTS. New @IssueOneReform review of @FEC filings shows the typical House member in a competitive re-election race raised an average of about $13,000 PER DAY during the third quarter of 2026. 👇

New from @IssueOneReform: AI companies cast themselves as champions for the public good, but lobbying and campaign finance records reveal how they have worked behind the scenes to block the guardrails that would hold them accountable issueone.org/articles/ai-com…

Beyond lobbying, AI and tech giants are running inflammatory campaign ads across the country to elect their favored candidates, without mentioning their industry or funding.

Election reform should not be about giving one party an advantage. It should be about giving every American confidence that our elections belong to the American people. That is the principle behind the bipartisan Stop Foreign Funds in Elections Act, which the House passed unanimously yesterday. This bill closes a dangerous loophole that allowed foreign nationals to finance ballot initiatives, referenda, and recall elections. I’m grateful to @IssueOneReform for supporting this legislation and calling on the Senate to act. American elections must be decided by American citizens alone. 🔗: issueone.org/press/issue-one…

It's actually even more than that. A donor can now give up to $310,100 per year to a party committee like the NRSC or DSCC, or $620,200 per election cycle, as @IssueOneReform explains here issueone.org/press/supreme-c…

My read is that now instead a max contribution of $3,500 to a candidate's campaign, an individual can now give $180,700 to a combo of entities (Candidate campaign + nat'l party committee + additional national party committee accounts) that can give to candidate. Is that right?

While we differ on whether the war should have started without Congressional approval, we fully agree with Senator Curtis that it certainly cannot continue past the 60 day window. We applaud the senator for putting the Constitution over partisanship. deseret.com/opinion/2026/04/…

Senator Murkowski makes it clear: legislation being pushed through Congress could make it harder for thousands of Alaskans and rural Americans — both Republicans and Democrats — to register to vote.   Voting rights should not be a partisan issue.

The SAVE America Act would centralize dangerous voter-screening power in presidential appointees, undermining the Constitution’s design, warns Cato’s Walter Olson. He notes the urgency: after trying to overturn a lost election once, Trump could gain new tools to challenge voter eligibility again. #CatoSOTU
