I THINK CRYPTO IS LOOKING FOR A REASON TO BELIEVE. And that may be the most important thing happening right now. BTC is doing its part. It’s holding above its major daily and weekly moving averages. Institutional demand is improving. Volatility is cooling. Equities are attempting to recover. Yet the speculative side of the market still hasn’t fully opened up. Why? Because the macro backdrop still isn’t giving crypto a clean green light. Yields remain elevated. Nasdaq hasn’t fully repaired. Small caps remain weak. ETHBTC is still struggling. Altcoin breadth is still missing. So IMO the market isn’t lacking potential. It’s lacking permission. And this is where things could get very interesting. Imagine BTC continuing to hold. Then: yields start falling… VIX keeps dropping… Nasdaq reclaims trend… small caps wake up… the dollar softens… ETHBTC finally turns… geopolitical stress begins cooling… Suddenly the same market everybody calls “boring” has multiple tailwinds at once. THAT is the environment where crypto can become explosive. Right now Bitcoin is showing us that demand exists even without perfect conditions. That’s what has my attention. Because if BTC looks this resilient while the macro is still only partially supportive… what happens if the wind finally gets behind us? Watch out.

The biggest advantage an OG memecoin has isn’t age. It’s proof of survival. Anyone can launch a new token tomorrow. Nice artwork. Good ticker. A few influencers. Trending for six hours. Maybe even a giant first pump. None of that tells me whether it has become culture. The OG Base memes have already had to pass a much harder test: Can people keep caring after the spotlight leaves? Look at names like: $TOSHI $DEGEN $DOGINME $KEYCAT $MIGGLES They’ve had hype cycles. Drawdowns. Narratives change. Attention leave. New shiny coins appear. And yet communities continue producing: memes jokes lore language content identity That’s important. Because a new meme has to introduce itself. A survivor only has to remind you. And there is another distinction I’ve been thinking about: Chatter is flow. Community is stock. Chatter tells you who everyone is talking about TODAY. Community tells you who might still be there six months from now when attention comes back. That’s why I don’t think the next Base meme cycle necessarily starts with 100 brand-new coins. It could start with capital rediscovering assets that already have: recognizable brands established communities distribution exchange access years of accumulated cultural memory New projects can absolutely win. Some will. But every new project has to prove that people care after the pump ends. The survivors already have receipts. And if Base really wakes back up… that accumulated attention may become a much bigger asset than people realize. Virality gets you noticed. Survival gives you an Attention Moat.
