No Benghazi hearing was “successful” by the definition of finding crimes. But they did find a server and destroyed Clinton with it a few years later. Vance, Rubio, Hegseth, ect. should all be put under a microscope.
As far as lawfare, if I was advising Dems, I would only do things if you are 75%+ certain it will be successful. If youre going to be aggressive, you need to prove it and win. Same with impeachment. Don't impeach unless you are nearly certain you will convict.

I would treat Trump as a dead letter. Investigate him, obviously, put it all out in the open. But don't impeach. Instead, pivot to tainting Vance and Rubio and any other major administration official who might make a run in 2028. What you want is a Hilary's emails type scandal

Over 200,000 Florida republicans voted for a guy who raped his toddler grandson. But please continue to lecture about how democrats can’t be Christians

Guys, guys, I just called my Dem Congressman's office to tell him I don't want Jeffries as speaker and before I was even done with my preamble, the staffer said, let me guess what you're going to say...he said he's been hearing it all day and then he asked me what I'd like to see Democrats do and had a 10 minute conversation with me. He even asked me to repeat some items from my laundry list so he could write it down. I also called my Senator. Who has also been getting calls about new leadership. Call your reps!

One example of this: Spanberger is underwater and Virginia was one of the ones where the bottom didn’t fall out for the GOP. Sherrill is the first governor New Jersey hasn’t hated in like 20 years and they fired almost every Republican
If Democrats don't want this to snap back in two or four years, they have to prioritize getting costs down and constituent services. People have to know you give a shit and when they do, they give you things like 18 point wins in Georgia

JD Vance and Ted Cruz suddenly sounding like Yale and Harvard Law grads instead of MAGA memes is very, very telling.

Most voters understood that the US-Israeli war on Iran led to rising prices, and even GOP polling confirmed that Yet the media spent the last few weeks saying it's antisemitic to note that and demanded Abdul condemn claims that the joint US-Israel war policy led to a price shock

Probably won’t work, but we should pitch him “Trumpcare” which is Medicare for All. We can tell him that every single American will be covered by Trumpcare for the rest of their lives and it will live on like social security. Republicans will never defund it cause it’s Trump’s.

"Charlie Kirk died for nothing" He also lived for nothing. He could have spent his time with his family, enjoying the ealier years of his children's lives but instead chose to spend all his time being a hateful piece of shit for a movement that eventually fizzled out.

Will anyone even try to rise to the occasion? Will Ambition check Cowardice?
In an NBC News poll last week, Hakeem Jeffries had an approval rating of 18%, and Chuck Schumer's was 13%. It's wild seeing them both act like they have mandates to lead the party going forward.

It’s probably just an oversight (and certainly not motivated reasoning) that Matt isn’t bringing up the fact that self-described moderate & ticket-splitter Josh Turek underperformed statewide officeholder Rob Sand by 2.5 points in two-party vote share, compared to Abdul El-Sayed underperforming statewide officeholder Jocelyn Benson by 1.5 points by the same two-party vote share. Despite Turek facing no attacks on his ethnicity and religion, facing far less in outside spending attacking him for the better part of a year, and not having his opponent endorse his Republican opponent 48 hours before Election Day.
Or you can look at this way — Abdul’s vote share was only 2 points lower than Jocelyn Benson — a popular statewide elected official who faced an opponent that was abandoned by Republican outside groups weeks ago — after: — Enduring the most disgusting onslaught of racist and Islamophobic attacks in modern political history — An unprecedented onslaught of negative ads from outside groups dating back to the primary — His primary opponent (who nearly defeated him) endorsing his general election opponent days before the primary
