It does reject that, you are right with what you say.
As we say in our message, it is temporary and we're now making people work hard to fix this and working with Valve, Amazon, and lots of other big companies who are willing to help us fix this problem that is not an easy one to solve.
We're trying to deliver everything everyone wants all the time.. We're struggling, this was the right call for this moment in time and we wish the world of games was different.
But you're absolutely right that this is totally against our values of what the game is and who we are as players.

I feel strongly about this. I grew up playing Arma with an international friend group. Americans, Aussies, Germans, Brits, a Japanese dude! Nobody cared, it was fun.
WARDOGS was bringing those vibes back. Their motto has been no friend left behind, but this rejects that.
Today we have begun the process of controlling regions. 📢
Over the next few hours we will be reducing the maximum ping on a server to be 175 after we have decided that protecting the largest amount of players from an influx of regions that are more prone to cheating.
It’s disappointing for us to have to put these divisions in place with social experience being such a core focus of WARDOGS, but we must prioritise the largest group of players over the minority.
Region locking is in progress on the backend, but is more than a switch to make a meaningful impact to the desired effect.
We’re sorry we let it get to this point that we are forced to make this decision, but we felt that giving certain regions the opportunity to prevail was the right move. Unfortunately, it has not panned out as we’d hoped and we’ll be getting stricter on cross pollination of regions.

Gonna be good for the game in certain regions. OCE is now gonna get flooded with the leftovers.
On the other hand some gamers need to check themselves because we have ran a squad of 5 plus with Chinese names on US West and OCE server just to see what reactions we would get. Almost every game we played if you got a decent amount of kills the other team would call you a cheater. I had people mass reporting me for getting kills in a rocket bird cause I was 'cheating'.
Just remember not everyone is cheating they are just better than you. 🙂

ANNOUNCEMENT 📢
Season 2 was meant to be a fresh start, and for a lot of you it hasn't felt like one. We sped up progression on deliberately and tried to balance the game better, as set out in the patch notes, but it was the wrong call.
Some players are reaching end game gear like Tier 4 armour and MBTs within days, so the wipe never really landed.
Some things are clearly out of balance and we'll fix them. Others have the community split, so we want to see how those play out first.
We won't be doing a knee jerk reset this weekend, as that would be unfair on everyone already enjoying the climb. Instead, we're looking at significantly bringing forward Season 3 and some of its content, so you get a proper fresh start. More details in our dev vlog next week.

In Season 1, players were getting stuck at Level 9 & Level 14.
In Season 2, we've lubricated the progression.
The time it took you to get to Level 9 in Season 1 is now the time it will take you to get to Level 10 in Season 2.
The time it previously took to get to Level 14 will now get you to Level 20.
Time between levels at 20+ is unchanged and will take the exact same amount of hours. Levels 1-8 also remain untouched in terms of hours to achieve levelling.
The median for all roles was roughly level 10 in Season 1, we're trying to get more players into the mid game experience that we know is fun by increasing the median role level for all players. That's the metric that the design team are tracking this season.

I better see everyone who conplained about the grind on for season two wardogs since its endgame in week 1 type vibes. Hopefully season 3 is opposite and way longer grind
