I’m time-travelling to 12:35 am IST / 7:05 pm UK / 2:05 pm ET… Newcastle 0–1 Aston Villa. Villa win!

A few tips for GW7 ✅
1. Chelsea at home is a great fixture for Barry, do start him
2. Still think triple Chelsea attack is the way to go, it has the edge coz almost everyone owns 2 of them
3. Telling you for the 6th time, it's time to sell Szoboszlai
4. One of King or Gonzalo is fine, both are an overkill
5. Haaland is by far the best captaincy option on paper, a decent triple captain too, I wouldn't mind taking a punt on one of the city midfielders this week
6. Sell Wissa for sure, between Muharemovic and Hall i would start Muharemovic
7. Evanilson is a great transfer in if you are looking for a forward
8. Both Gross and De Cuyper are captainable this week if you got the balls
9. Leeds have a genuine chance of winning this game while keeping a clean sheet, Man united are a blunt attack away from home
10. I wouldn't sell Palmer for Saka this week, Forest are a top 2 defence in terms of xGC this season

I really wanted to sell Wissa, but with just 1 FT left, I used it on Szoboszlai → Cherki instead.
Are you holding Wissa or selling him?

City mid battle 🔵
Cherki vs Semenyo vs Doku
Cherki’s leading on returns, Semenyo on minutes, and Doku brings explosive potential
Who’s your City mid pick? 🤔👇

I think GW7 was a good one for most managers who stuck with the template.
Verbruggen
Calafiori · Gvardiol · De Cuyper · Tarkowski
Palmer · Rogers · Groß
Haaland · Joao Pedro

Rogers or Palmer?
🔵 Rogers - 38 points, 4 goals, 1 assist, 3.2 xGI
🔵 Palmer - 36 points, 2 goals, 4 assists, 2.17 xGI
💷 Rogers is £7.9m; Palmer is £9.7m
✨ Palmer has more bonus points, while Rogers has the higher xGI and lower ownership.
Two very different routes to points. Who’s your pick?

DEFCON hits vs FPL points after 6 GWs
Murillo: 5 hits → 25 points
Vuskovic: 3 hits → 40 points
Tarkowski: 4 hits → 46 points
Clean sheets and attacking returns still make a big difference.

£5.5m–£6.5m midfielders are becoming one of the biggest decisions in FPL.
Best options to consider if you’re planning a GW6 transfer:
Enciso (5.5M) - 0.8% owned
Iwobi (5.4M) - 0.7% owned
E.Le Fee (5.7M) - 3.3% owned
Gomez (5M) - 3.9% owned
King (5.6M) - 3.0% owned
Stach (6M) - 2.5% owned
Janelt (5M) - 2.5% owned
Barnes (6.1M) - 6.0% owned
Tavernier (6.1M) - 6.9% owned
Belloumi (5.1M) - 5.3% owned
Schade (6.2M) - 12.4% owned
Gross (5.9M) - 30.1% owned
Who do you already own, and who are you planning to bring in?

Bogle vs De Cuyper vs Tarkowski vs Gvardiol
4 defenders, 4 different cases.
Bogle: best value so far.
De Cuyper: most attacking output.
Tarkowski: clean sheets, set pieces and DefCon.
Gvardiol: the City pick. But his returns so far are harder to trust.

Belloumi vs King
Both of them under 5.5m. But Belloumi stat is more promising.

If you scored under 400 points overall in #FPL, you’re among friends here ❤️
If you scored over 400 points overall, please take your points and leave.
If you scored exactly 400 points overall, I genuinely don’t know what to say to you.

Only Arsenal have conceded less xG than Forest in the first 5 GWs:
- Arsenal - 4.03
- Forest - 4.68
- Liverpool - 6.12
- Man City - 7.25
Munoz, Williams and Murillo are all worth considering from GW6 onwards.
Are you considering a Forest defender?

Goal involvement can be useful, but only in context.
Morgan Gibbs-White has been involved in 75% of Forest’s goals in the first five Gameweeks. It tells us he is their talisman: when Forest score, he is usually involved.
But 40% involvement in a Liverpool or City attack could still be better for FPL. More team goals means more chances for returns.
The same applies to budget picks. Belloumi’s 67% involvement for Hull is interesting, but it is only a starting point. Before buying, I want to see enough chances, secure minutes and fixtures worth targeting.
Use goal involvement to find the talisman. Then judge the FPL asset on role, minutes, team attack, fixtures and price.

Szoboszlai is an absolute sell.
You can't change my mind.
£7.0m for 20 points after 5 GWs.
He needs to become a better #FPL asset.
