I thought if I didn’t speak on certain things it meant I wasn’t giving it power over me, but silence doesn’t make me feel free.
there’s hating your old work and then there’s being thankful for the growth. be thankful for the growth.
i let go of what i thought made me happy and it left me empty, but now there’s space for real happiness.

Naomi Osaka did an interview and said when she wins she feels more “relieved” than “happy”. And that’s how I feel as of late, I’m always “relieved” to get promoted, or to get a good grade or do well. It’s like “whew, glad that’s over” instead of “I’m proud of myself”.

Thank you @IvanNuru I love poetry and I’m glad I was able to support! I’m looking forward to reading 📖 this work!
i wanted to write about remembering nothing, but the hard you put in and how that feels like nothing sometimes. i wanted to write about my father. i wanted to understand him better.
