Located in Mexico’s historic Zacualpan–Taxco District, J2 Metals’ Sierra Plata Project sits in one of the country’s most established #silver-producing regions.
Once among the Spanish Empire’s most important silver and gold districts, the area has a mining legacy spanning more than five centuries.
The project hosts multiple past-producing silver-gold mines and numerous historic workings, providing evidence of an established mineralizing system and a compelling foundation for further exploration.

J2 has been very active at its 2,200 ha Sierra Plata silver-gold-antimony project in Mexico. Soon it will be time to update everyone. For 8 months we have been (1) rediscovering past-producing mines and workings (2) mapping veins and outcrops (3) flying geophysics across the project (4) sampling known historic mines and waste piles (5) preparing drill permit applications. 🔎 Did you know?
Widespread anomalous Au-Ag-Zn-Cu mineralization has been intersected across a 4 km strike length at our Miniac Project.
Mineralization is interpreted as sulphide-facies exhalative horizons featuring pyrrhotite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and sphalerite, with possible Au enrichment along an interpreted NNW-trending splay off the Chicobi Deformation Zone.
The massive sulphide horizon also aligns well with conductivity geophysics.

A total of 186 rock samples (channel, chip, dump and float samples) have been collected from veins, mineralized structures and historical workings across the Sierra Plata, with assay results received for all samples. Selected best #silver results shown below.

High-grade #silver at Sierra Plata!
J2 Metals has identified 7 veins and 20 historical workings at the Sierra Plata Project in Mexico.
Sampling has returned:
• 1,030 g/t Ag at El Sabino
• 941 g/t Ag over 0.7m
• 811 g/t Ag over 1.4m
• 788 g/t Ag + 1.05 g/t Au at El Salto
With ~50% of the property mapped, trenching is being planned and drill permitting is advancing.
The next phase of exploration is underway.

Yesterday, we announced new high-grade #silver results from Sierra Plata project in Mexico.
The team has identified multiple high-priority veins and is advancing the project toward trenching and drilling.
With mapping continuing across the property, Sierra Plata is building momentum as J2 works to unlock its high-grade silver potential.
