Politico reports that Black voter turnout is reshaping the midterm elections across the South.
Share this if you are Black in the South and want to send a message. Help ensure we don’t get drowned out.
We have to ensure that Black political power translate into Black political representation be engaging our people today’s
Each of these candidates can win on Tuesday if Black voters show up in big numbers.
Georgia: Keisha Lance Bottoms, Governor @keishabottoms
South Carolina: Jermaine Johnson, Governor @drjermainejohnson
Florida: Angie Nixon, U.S. Senate @angieforfl
Mississippi: Scott Colom, U.S. Senate @scott_colom
Louisiana: Jamie Davis, U.S. Senate @jamieforlouisiana
These races raise a bigger question: Who benefits from the surge in Black voter participation? We cannot trust that other communities will support Black candidates so we have to turnout at a higher number to ensure they win too.
Their winning will equal more investment in our communities, which is not happening at the levels it should because we only hold a few of these positions of power.
November 3 is Election Day. Know your ballot and make your voice heard.
I need you engaging the people in your network. Outvote the racism.

🙏 Q Meets Jean-Luc Picard in the Afterlife. This One Hits Different.
The Patrick Stewart tribute we needed.
A beautifully done video from The Machine-Made Muse. Q and Picard, one last conversation. The tone, the delivery, the emotion; it lands.
Worth watching. Follow their work.

Former Michigan Governor Jim Blanchard — a longtime friend and supporter of Haley Stevens — says he was having dinner on Friday with Stevens and her fiancé, and that Stevens was excited to attend the church service with Jim Clyburn and Abdul El-Sayed.
Blanchard said that Stevens’ fiancé, Jason Turkish, began chiding her at the dinner.
“He was working her over. The way he was saying it was, ‘Everyone is disappointed in you, they did everything they could to help you and then immediately after you lose the primary, you endorsed him.’”
“He was all distraught,” he said.
“He was all strung out about Abdul. I let her know, he’s not a good influence.”
Blanchard remained in touch with Stevens throughout the weekend and expected her to attend the church service. He only found out from the news that she was at the service with Rogers and endorsing him.
“Something snapped in her. And it snapped in 24 hours,” Blanchard told Zach Gorchow of State Affairs.
“And I don’t know what.”
Blanchard, clearly pained by the situation, said several times, “This is not the Haley I know.”
He lamented Turkish’s “terrible political judgment.”

60 Minutes' Ross Douthat makes a fool out of himself trying to claim the Saudi Lobby is similar in power to the Israel Lobby.
"[$33 million] was spent by AIPAC [against me]," Abdul El-Sayed counters. "Can you point to any other spending [like that]?!"

And it was. Whoopi said that she had felt none of her roles had left an impact during an interview and an autistic man in the audience spoke up to tell her how much this role meant to/helped him.
Patrick Stewart had a special surprise for Whoopi Goldberg! 🖖
He personally invited her to reprise her iconic role as Guinan in Season 2 of Star Trek: Picard.
Whoopi was visibly touched, calling her time on Star Trek one of the greatest experiences of her career.
After 18 years, Captain Picard was back and now Guinan was joining him again. ❤️
This panel is bullshit
