Unai Emery said on Friday that aside from Wan-Bissaka, Cash, Ruggeri and Onana, everyone else was available. Lamare Bogarde has fallen out of favour this season, with diminished game-time and now out of matchday squads altogether. #AVFC rejected two loan with obligations from Sunderland in the summer and it feels increasingly likely he may have to move elsewhere. Alejandro Garnacho and Tammy Abraham also not in squad.

Two men from Halifax have each been jailed for six years and three months for serious sexual offences against a male child.
John Matthews, 74, and Mark Matthews, 61, were sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on 5 November 2026.
Absolutely heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the victim and his family. I can’t begin to imagine what he has been through or the impact this has had on them all.

Amar Dedic was “not aware” of UK laws regarding carrying a bow and arrow in public, and Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle has spoken to him about this week’s bizarre incident.
On Wednesday, Dedic and a friend were stopped by police and had their bow and arrows confiscated after a member of the public reported seeing the pair walking near a reservoir in Harlow Hill, 12 miles (19 kilometres) west of St James’ Park. Multiple officers were dispatched to the area.
