In this edition of our Alumni Spotlight series we feature former @49ers OLB with a @CFL Hall of Fame like career, @davedbenefield. A relentless edge rusher, the 3-time CFL All-Star tied a league record with 5 sacks in a game, and finished his career with 77. Dubbed "Mr. Furious", he took his talents to the Bay Area for a season before returning to the CFL. Off the field, Daved was an outstanding analyst covering CFL games for both Sportsnet and CBC, and is now coaching high school ball in Southern California while working for RAW Sports. He continues to run the annual Kitsfest RedZone Rivals Beach Football event in Vancouver each summer, while his Saturday nights are spent watching his son, @BenefieldTy do his thing playing Safety at @LSUfootball.

Many NFL players are dedicated to their craft. Then there's 32-year-old NFL tackles leader Alex Singleton: "I went to our nutritionist Maggie. I call her Macro Maggie -- hopefully that gets out. She does all my macros. Every meal I've eaten since March has been counted, weighed. ... I sleep 9 hours every night. And then the other big thing I've added was I probably get 12 hours in a hyperbaric chamber every week. I have one at home and then we have one here.
"I would say the eating is the biggest thing. I sleep as much as I can. And kids are a nice motivation to get better."
Alex Singleton is AFC Defensive Player of the Werk

There goes the longest home win streak in Division I football!
@UACoachPerk said this week a victory would warrant @UAlbanyFootball being in @CAAFootball championship contender talks. Consider those conversations started.
A signature win for the Danes. Coach Perk and his staff are building something really special right now.
