El presidente de El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, negó este sábado las denuncias emitidas por la ONG Asociación de las Naciones Unidas-Haití sobre supuestos bombardeos aéreos contra zonas civiles durante las operaciones de búsqueda de cuatro soldados salvadoreños desaparecidos en territorio haitiano.
A través de su cuenta en la red social X, el mandatario cuestionó la veracidad del informe al señalar que la denuncia fue publicada un día antes de la llegada de los helicópteros de ataque salvadoreños a Haití y afirmó que la misión no dispone de bombas. Asimismo, acusó a este tipo de organizaciones de mentir y servir como firmas de cabildeo para criminales. La presencia de las tropas salvadoreñas en Puerto Príncipe forma parte de las acciones de la Fuerza de Supresión de Pandillas (GSF) tras la emboscada registrada el pasado 18 de octubre.

Our attack helicopters didn't arrive in Haiti until October 29. Their arrival was widely covered by the media, with plenty of videos and social media posts documenting it.
Yet this “report” was published a day before our helicopters even arrived. And as of today, they haven't flown a single mission.
These NGOs lie with impunity, while wielding enormous influence over international organizations.
They are nothing more than lobbying firms for criminals and cartels, masquerading as humanitarian organizations.
🇭🇹 A Haitian advocacy group is accusing Salvadoran forces of bombing civilians near Port-au-Prince, telling UN Secretary-General António Guterres in an open letter that "children are being killed not by gangs, but by foreign bombs."
🔹Despite its name, the United Nations Association-Haiti is not part of the UN but a diaspora advocacy group. Founder Harvey Dupiton, a Croix-des-Bouquets native, wrote that since Oct. 22, Salvadoran troops have hit civilian neighborhoods there and in nearby Canaan with airstrikes, helicopter gunships and heavy weapons. "Our families tell us they are hiding under beds," he added.
🔹President Nayib Bukele significantly expanded the deployment to over 2000 troops after gangs kidnapped four Salvadoran technicians serving with the UN-authorized Gang Suppression Force on Oct. 18.
🔹The group demanded an immediate halt to Salvadoran "offensive bombing operations," a UN investigation into civilian deaths and a Security Council statement that El Salvador "has no right to wage unilateral war in Haiti."

A lot of people don’t actually hate AI-generated content.
They hate that the barrier separating them from everyone else is disappearing.
When creating software required years of training, being a programmer gave you status.
When producing beautiful images required years of practice, being an artist gave you status.
Now someone with no formal training can produce things that previously required entire teams.
And suddenly we’re having a moral crisis about who deserves to create.
The real controversy isn’t that AI makes creation easier.
It’s that millions of people are losing their monopoly on being considered talented.
