Replying to @INL
@INL is designing and developing the reactor for @NASA’s SR-1 Freedom — the first fission-powered spacecraft to operate beyond Earth’s orbit, targeting a late-2028 launch to Mars.
I spoke with @NRO's @eva_terry02 about @NASAAdmin’s vision, the engineering challenges of nuclear power in space, and why INL has spent decades preparing to help meet them.
I’m particularly encouraged by the opportunity to bring together NASA, @ENERGY's @Gov-Nuclear, the national laboratories, and industry around the technologies needed to expand America’s capabilities in space.
Important work ahead. 🇺🇸 Read the article: nationalreview.com/magazine/…

Working in Proto-town has been an awesome experience. It's like a glimpse into what America started as without regulations
Makes me nervous thinking how easy it seems to have been for them to have gotten lost. They kept seeing their own tracks….. need a moon compass.
Apollo 16 Lunar Rover Onboard Footage HD
This spectacular footage was filmed by Charlie Duke on board the Apollo 16 Lunar Rover using the 16mm DAC Film Camera. It shows the drive piloted by John Young from Station 11 to Station 13.
The footage has been upscaled, interpolated to 60FPS and synchronised to mission audio by Moonpans

We’re going back to the Moon to stay. Building a Moon Base means giving American astronauts the infrastructure to explore more, conduct more science, and prepare for missions farther into our solar system. That’s the future we’re working toward at @NASA.

Happy 91st birthday to Apollo 16 astronaut Charlie Duke, the 10th man to walk on the Moon! 🎂
Duke was the CAPCOM in Mission Control as Apollo 11 landed on the lunar surface on July 20, 1929. He said that his anxiety in Mission Control during the Apollo 11 landing was worse than that he experienced during the Apollo 16 landing. We wish him many happy landings in the days ahead!

Happy 91st birthday to Charlie Duke! Born on Oct. 3, 1935, Duke made history in 1972 as the 10th and youngest person to walk on the Moon at age 36.
Happy birthday Charlie! 🎉

The sun is barely up and the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band is already out here practicing again and again until it’s perfect. Nobody sees this part. They just see the finished product on game day – the precision, the sound, the tradition. But excellence isn’t born under the lights. It’s built in mornings like this one. That’s what makes the Aggie band different from all the rest. Gig’em and Let’s BTHO LSU.🎵🥁🎺

If these old trees could talk, they’d have quite a story to tell.
I toured Swift River Pecans in Caldwell County with Troy Swift, including a nearly 300-year-old native pecan tree that has fed Texans for centuries.
Troy is combining generations of agricultural knowledge with modern science and technology to tackle real challenges facing producers—from water and fuel costs to rising inputs.
Ground cover, less mowing, mulching and natural pest control are paired with sensors, soil testing and plant nutrition data to cut costs, use less water and build healthier soil.
There’s a lot we can learn from these old trees—and from producers like Troy who are finding new ways to keep Texas agriculture productive for generations to come.

Anika is so good, she added a stick trick to the Tom Sawyer drum solo tonight. @rushtheband
Again and again and again. They maybe old but their talent and music is not. #RUSH
Boring Company is working on a simple, precursor Hyperloop tunnel between Austin and San Antonio (>200 mph).
Due to traffic congestion, that journey can currently take up to 2.5 hours. @BoringCompany can reduce that to a consistent <30 mins.
She was impressive then as she is now. Gig’em 🇺🇸@BrookeLRollins
This picture from Kyle Field yesterday sort of says it all. My heart is so grateful. ❤️
What a country. What a state. What a university.
More than 30 years after serving as Student Body President, getting to return to Kyle Field and be recognized alongside my dear friends @PeteHegseth and @GregAbbott_TX — and, most especially, my son, Head Yell Leader Luke — was just so special.
SEND ME. 🇺🇸🙏💪
