People are acting like the sky is falling because of who won or lost this election. Gloom and doom everywhere. “It’s all his/herfault.”
“It’s all their fault.”
“The politicians are going to save us / destroy us.”
On a personal level, nothing has changed. The sun still comes up. Your bills still need paid. Your kids still need raised. Your neighbors still need kindness. The politicians aren’t coming to fix your marriage, your health, your finances, or your peace of mind. They never were and NEVER will.
Spending your days doom-scrolling around on X and arguing about whose fault everything is is a waste of the one life you’ve got. The election is over. The news cycle will find the next crisis.
Meanwhile, real life is still right in front of you.
Quit giving politicians that much power over your mood.
They don’t deserve it.

The U.S. Senate took about 10–11 paid vacations last year: Presidents’ Day, March, two weeks at Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, a full month in August, plus Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Scheduled for roughly 179 days in session.
The rest of us don’t get that calendar.
