🇲🇽 Mexico built a 62-km underground drainage tunnel to tackle flooding. India could do the same.
Mexico City’s Túnel Emisor Oriente was built to carry stormwater and wastewater away from the Valley of Mexico, reducing pressure on the city’s drainage system. Construction began in 2008, and the tunnel entered service in 2019.
Now look at India.
Mumbai floods during the monsoon. Delhi struggles with waterlogging. Other rapidly expanding cities face the same problem.
We keep building skyscrapers, housing estates, roads and smart cities — but are we building the drainage infrastructure to match?
Tiny drains cannot cope with the enormous volumes of water produced by intense rainfall across densely populated urban areas.
India needs to think BIGGER.
Large-capacity underground stormwater tunnels where the geography and engineering justify them.
Properly planned sewage and drainage networks before new housing is built.
Better pumping systems, water retention and floodwater discharge routes.
Strict enforcement so that construction doesn’t choke natural waterways.
GIFT City in Gujarat has underground utility tunnels, but utility tunnels are not the same as floodwater drainage tunnels.
We need infrastructure designed for the problem we are trying to solve.
Mexico’s example deserves serious study by Indian city planners. We cannot keep expanding our cities above ground while neglecting what lies beneath.
Build the drainage first. Then build the city. 🇮🇳
Royal Cremation Ceremony of Puri Agung Ubud, Bali, Indonesia.
It is a tradition of the Puri Agung Ubud royal family that when a family member passes away, a grand traditional Hindu Balinese cremation ritual is held. The Royal Cremation uses a nine-tiered “Bade” (cremation tower), “Naga Banda” (dragon), and “Lembu” sarcophagus.
The final ceremony in one’s life is the funeral. The Balinese see this final celebration as the beginning of a new life, where one receives the consequences of all one has done in the mortal world. Death, for Hindus, is only a process of changing the body.
The previous body is replaced by a new one according to one’s past deeds and consciousness. Thus, there is almost no sorrow in Hindu Balinese funerals.
We live in times of ghor Kaliyug when you see the bride at the pithi/haldi, a practice that did not exist.
In Satyug, people were naturally virtuous; rituals like the haldi ceremony were not mentioned in the Ramayana, which we often see in weddings today.
There was no need to purify or protect against negativity, since everything was innately pure.
Satyug was the first and most virtuous age. And here we have the bride at the groom's bathing ceremony surrounded by women only. Bollywood is a curse on Hindus.
When Ann Samson immigrated to Toronto from India in 1966, she never expected her Jewish identity to be questioned by her own community.

Let's open restaurants called Mecca and serve specialist items like hog roast , pork pies, pork chops in them and your classic bacon butty sandwich. This @drshamamohd seems to think naming a restaurant Kashi and serving beef is secular. To Kerala Hindus please open up pork dish restaurants and name the restaurant Mecca!

Today, I was constrained to file a formal criminal complaint against Congress President Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge (@kharge) in connection with two separate incidents involving inflammatory and objectionable public statements.
The first concerns his speech at Nilambazar, Assam, in April 2026, in which he described the RSS and BJP as a “zehreela saanp” (venomous snake) and, invoking namaz and the Quran, called for them to be killed. The second concerns his statement at Patna on 25 October 2026, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega”, directed at the late father of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji.
Such language from a senior political leader is deeply concerning and cannot be dismissed as ordinary political discourse. Public platforms must not be used to make statements that promote enmity or incite violence.
I have sought registration of FIR under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and other applicable laws, in accordance with the binding directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court concerning hate speech.
People need to know their limits and boundaries. No one is above the law, irrespective of their position or political affiliation.
India, how did you allow your nation to be infiltrated? Invaded by another foreigner not long after independence, Sonia Gandhi has ruled India and destroyed it. She stifled growth and took bribes for years. Why is the Supreme Court not fast-tracking all the criminal charges against her and her family? Are you that feeble that you still let communist European trash control you?
Listen carefully, India. The same thing is now starting in the UK: the stupid student protests.
Please listen carefully and share as widely as possible
