Battlefield HS wins the Class 6 baseball state title over Independence 6-3. Bobcats catcher Luke Raflo hit a grand slam in the 7th to cement it. Pitcher Alex Kamprowski allowed just one run over 4 IP before Josh Gunning closed the last three. All three #Hokies commits impressed.

On #Hokies 2027 commits and state champions Nico Moritz-Toledo, Teagan Leach and Yogi Colangelo: Leach (1-1, three BB) was pitched around but hit one of his few strikes. He’s the top player in the state according to @PrepBaseballVA, which has Moritz-Toledo No. 2. He’s one of the fastest players I’ve ever seen, going 1-4 with a double. Colangelo played a very strong shortstop and hit a bomb in the state semis. He’s ranked No. 10.
