Last night was our wonderful Memory Star Event in conjunction with #GriefAwarenessWeek we lit the hospice up orange. Thank you to David Bean, @LawnMasterNotts, @Morrisons Retford, @JMBsinger, all our wonderful staff & to everyone who came along and supported the event. 😍

3. I presented Amy with this amazing book. It will support her and be a constant reference. This masterpiece is what everyone who looks after patients requires, to skilfully and professionally assess & deliver care with compassion. @DrBenLovell @DrMarkLander @AcuteMedEd

2.Amy ensured urgently needed equipment & support was put in place. All the nurses were wonderful but it was Amy who quickly assessed what was required at a vital stage in his care. He was able to die as the hero he was. @retfordnurses @michael30366647 @jkeyes22 @DrNeilPender

1. On International Nurses Day, I want to acknowledge the excellent care I received from Retford District Nurses when my Dad was end of life. Amy visited during the final 24 hours. I wanted Dad to remain at home and die pain free with the dignity, compassion and love he deserved

My mum was 9 on VE Day. She lives alone now and has Alzheimer’s but her long term memory is good. This morning, the lovely Jess from Let’s Sing 🎤 made a special visit to her house to serenade her 😭
