Everyone remembers that Freese tied the game in the 9th when STL were down to their last strike. But what's forgotten is Josh Hamilton promptly hit a devastating 2 run HR in the 10th. STL were down to their last strike AGAIN in the 10th, and Berkman tied it up w/ an RBI single.

OTD 15 years ago, David Freese was the definition of CLUTCH 😤 Down to their last strike in Game 6 of the World Series, he delivered a game-tying 2-run triple and followed that up with an 11th-inning walk-off home run to send the series to a Game 7. The @Cardinals would go on to become World Series champions!

Random memory from the last heritage classic is Nik Ehlers playing keep up with a soccer ball during warmups. His kick count must’ve been in the hundreds. I think the only reason he stopped was by choice. He could have kept going forever

If this rumour is true. We can say Mercer and one of those Cs (Rodrigues and Eetu) are a wash, and that one of those 1sts are a wash with Command? That means they left a 1st and a decent C on the table, to instead get Bjugstad (old, shitty fwd) and Nico Daws (AHL goalie)?
