Visualizing warming as elevation demonstrates the disproportionate rate of #ClimateChange change on the #Arctic. After we presented one static perspective, @g_fiske updated this map to underscore Arctic warming as a global issue. Data: KNMI Climate Explorer.

The facts are clear: Voter fraud is extremely rare in the US. There is no evidence at all that millions of people voted illegally in 2016 despite what President Trump has claimed. vox.com/policy-and-politics/… #Debates2020

The draft DHS reports note that 2019 was the most deadly year of domestic terrorism since the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. White supremacists "conducted half of all lethal attacks (8 of 16), resulting in the majority of deaths (39 of 48)" politico.com/news/2020/09/04…

4. Some theorists assert that *lockdowns* are actually causing the excess deaths, not COVID. Wildly false. We can tell because states with few COVID deaths (like HI, ME, VT) don’t have excess deaths even though they’ve been quite locked down. See also: xitter.gq/lymanstoneky/status/12…
Replying to @lymanstoneky
But are excess deaths really caused by COVID-19? State data suggests yes. Excess deaths are extremely tightly correlated with official COVID deaths, and outliers all reflect problems with reporting all-cause mortality, not COVID-reporting issues.

Since Trump decided to cause absolute chaos yesterday with those peaceful protestors so he could get pictures and video for his propaganda team, I figured I'd add a few more clips from the event...you know...just to see if they'd want to use this version instead.

NEW: The excess UK deaths linked to coronavirus are likely to be around 41,000 as of yesterday, not the 17,337 of the hospital deaths announcements Here is the explanation for that estimate, which I will update daily 1/

A thread on the measurement of excess mortality and uncounted COVID19 deaths. Key point: be careful inferring number of uncounted COVID19 deaths from a look at all-cause mortality data 1/n

Focusing on any short-term global temperature trend can be misleading. Here’s why it’s important to look at the big picture: climate.nasa.gov/blog/2893/n…
