I attended @campbelledu. It is a historically Baptist university. While it still embraces its Christian roots, it accepts people of all faiths or no faith at all. Why can’t people fathom that the United States is the same way?
Why is it so hard for people to recognize the historically obvious point that the US was shaped by very specifically Christian ideas while also, and in part because of this fact, that we also value religious liberty?

Today, we mark the anniversary of the International Religious Freedom Act. As President Trump has said, the United States was built on the idea that all human beings have a God-given right to practice their faith according to their conscience. We will always defend the right of every person to practice their faith without fear.

Thank you to everyone who is fighting against religious persecution around the world. Even today, Christians are being killed simply for having faith in God.
America, more than any other nation in world history, was shaped by the Christian tradition of spreading the gospel unto all nations. Join us in celebrating International Religious Freedom Day.

I agree Rep. @timburchett! But too many people believe that Christian persecution will never happen in the US, so they ignore it in the world. But we all better wake up and help our brothers and sisters in Christ because it will happen to us all!
Where is the national media?

You know why people love Chick-fil-A? Because for the most part they’ve been consistent in their values and chicken. As soon as @ThomTillis didn’t need donor money he flipped and burned every bridge he had. That’s not a consistent voice, but a hypocrite. Weird take from UNC.

New Time Unit Dropped!!! 1 Zachariah = 5 Days. There’s two Zachariahs in a Scaramucci, 5 in a Flynn, and 10 in a Truss

Contestants on the Apprentice lasted longer.
Records are made to be broken. But I take no pleasure in other people's pain.

Vance couldn’t define socialism today for the same reason he’s vice president. He rose by impressing influential allies who shared his ideology and persuaded Trump to put him on the ticket. Here he had a chance to explain that socialism means government ownership of the means of production and that typical welfare programs aren't it. Ask Americans what the word means and fewer than 1 in 5 say that. Instead, he reached for 2 familiar applause lines Rubio spent 30 minutes yesterday with the Acropolis behind him delivering a widely praised defense of Western civilization to a Europe he was challenging to change course. Impressing the people who can put you on a ticket is a different skill from persuading a national electorate to put you in the White House.
JD Vance defines socialism “in the American context.” “I think in reality, what it means in the American context, is that you want to replace American workers with foreign workers, and you want boys to play in girls’ sports.”

Like @SpeakerJohnson, we should all be prepared to go back home and start a lawn business, God willing. #CareerAdvice
🚨Report: Speaker Mike Johnson hints at returning to Private Life in Louisiana should Republicans lose the House of Representatives after the midterm elections He said: “If God moves on our hearts and says we should, you know, go back to my hometown of Shreveport and start a lawn business, I'll do that with equal fervor. I mean, I just want to be of my highest and best use to God and to my country.”

Despite everything happening in Washington, when I hear @SecRubio speak, I always feel a sense of hope.
SECRETARY RUBIO: For twenty-five centuries since, the Parthenon has stood. Empires have risen and fallen beneath its shadow. And the progeny of the men who built it – the sons of Athens and Rome – have carried their civilization with them to the ends of the Earth. Two and a half centuries after the founding of the American republic halfway across the world from where I stand now, I stand here today – as the Secretary of State of that republic, and as the great-grandson of settlers who arrived in the new world from Spain – I stand here to testify to a debt that no lapse of time, no distance of space, can ever extinguish.

The founders didn’t think religious liberty was ‘fanatical.’ In fact they thought it was sacred. Thats why the First Amendment includes the Establishment and Free Exercise Clauses.
if you think allowing other people to marry the person of their choice curtails your "religious liberty," you're a religious fanatic who does not belong in government.

BREAKING: A news article has just resurfaced in which NC House Democratic candidate Tim Merrick justified the 9/11 attack on the United States. In the article Merrick justified the attack by claiming that, “We have not been fair to nations in the Middle East.” #ncpol

A national socialist, national populist, an oligarch, and a communist walk into a bar. They find out they’re all cousins of authoritarianism.
Folks, the correct side won the Second World War and the Cold War. Somehow the ideologies that perpetuated both have gained traction in the 2020s, but fascism and communism are responsible for some of the worst atrocities in history, and the deaths of tens of millions in the 20th century. It's ridiculous that we have to have this conversation in the 21st century.
