This is a significant part of why I do what I do.
How can we begin to eliminate angry rhetoric toward religious groups that leads to violence?
Hear @micahfries discuss the first step, potential hurdles and the result. #peacemakers

You might wonder about the rise of practicing #Advent and #Lent. In our upcoming episode, @JRMaxfield engages the question, "Why is everyone talking about liturgy?"

I'm for Christian internationalism: recognizing that God's people come from every tribe & tongue & nation & their goal is not political power, but spreading the good news of Jesus which (according to Jesus) is especially good news for the poor & oppressed (Luke 4:16-21).

Adding "for $8/month" to the end of any sentence makes that sentence funnier, esp bible verses

Stop letting people use catchphrases to set the parameters by which you engage the Bible.
There is too much on the line for me to have a simple relationship with the Bible.

“What would you say to a young Christian who’s nervous about the future?” @DrMoore asks @TimKellerNYC.
I love his answer.

Don’t just ask, “What can I do FOR the faith?”
Also ask, “What am I doing TO the faith?”
Christian history is littered with people doing things for the faith who gave little thought to how their ideas/actions did damaging things to it.

Heard this beautiful @Sandramccracken song, Fools Gold. (thx @JRMaxfield) These lyrics really struck me. Biblical lament & gospel hope aren't mutually exclusive. youtu.be/RdB0QgYALyA

Then it is not the end.
And this is not ok
So I know this is not the end"

The church is like a complex mosaic that consists of many colors and fabrics. Each fragment displays a different color, but in unison, these individual pieces portray a beautiful masterpiece.

Pastor, don't let anyone tell you ministry strategy, execution, and plans aren't important. They're very important.
They're just useless without the Spirit's power.
Plan and prepare hard. Pray harder.

If the greatest commandment in Scripture is rooted in love, the greatest sin must be a failure to love.

The Church has an unconditional obligation to the victims of any ordering of society, even if they do not belong to the Christian community.
