I have to say that if @gmpolice spent less on the eye watering legal costs of defending themselves in tribunals, or the incredible amounts of time covering up their “mistakes” and simply adopted a whole different working practise of honesty, transparency, professionalism, and just basic human decency from the top down, we would be far more likely to have a police force that operated more efficiently, and in the public interest, for less actual money! This isn’t about lack of money, in my opinion, it’s about inappropriate use of the funds they already have! Just like what’s happening now in the @PostOffice scandal - the real victims being offered derisory sums whilst legal teams coin it in and fill their boots from the public purse!!!! Corrupt! And I am afraid that from all my day to day work I have to completely disagree with you @MayorofGM - @gmpolice still have a long long LONG way to go to be able to claim they can be trusted, or that they are significantly improved.
