My ADHD actually got worse when I started working on it in therapy. Why? We were doing parallel work with anxiety, and it turns out that I was using anxiety as a "stimulant". As my anxiety lessened, my ADHD no longer had the stimulation, and my symptoms got worse. Weird, right?
