Toddlers thrown into the air. Babies that never made it. Parents with arms outstretched. Empty fireside chairs. Young friends warmly remembered at their graveside. How can you put words on a feeling that is so uniquely individual? This week's column irishnews.com/gaa/gaelic-foo…

Good practice design isn't only about manipulating the task. It's about understanding how those manipulations change the relationship between the player and their environment.

We don’t need more footballers who can execute instructions. We need intelligent footballers who can solve match challenges. #TOVO

2. Too often, coaches start by looking for a new drill. Start with the problem instead. The better you understand the problem, the easier it becomes to design the right practice.

Isn’t Donal Og a right embarrassment Hon get involved in Cork hurling or football if you’ve that much to say! Couldn’t manage a piss standing up Said for a long time, it’s hiring snobs who try and compete with football that holds hurling back!

Motion to move All-Irelands back two weeks is withdrawn at Congress. It was heading for a hiding. Let that be the end of this nonsense. County players having time with their clubs is the very thing that makes the GAA unique. It has to be protected

For me, a vote against this proposal is a vote for club players all over the country. Certainty of fixtures and a small portion of the good weather to play their games in. A vote for is for casual inter-county supporters, media outlets & expensive backroom. That’s who benefits.
Cork will vote against the proposed two-week extension to the inter-county season at Congress later this month. At Tuesday’s behind-closed-doors Cork County Board meeting, club delegates voted against the proposed changes to the GAA calendar.

Ciarán's next target is the banning of spring rolls as they can be eaten at any time of the year.
I want to welcome the European Parliament’s decision today to adopt the amendment proposed by a French MEP to ban the use of misleading terms such as “Veggie Burger.” My colleagues in the Parliament have applied common sense in relation to meat content, bringing an end to the confusion consumers have had to endure. I hope that this development will also be extended to the dairy sector, to address the misuse of terms such as “almond milk,” which is not natural milk but simply a plant-based juice. I was not present in Strasbourg for this plenary vote due to a family illness but have always supported the proposal to ban the term “veggie burger.” I will continue to lobby on farmers behalf over the course of the next 4 years on this issue - as it’s “common sense “ at the end of the day and is in the best interest of our beef farmers .
