5,895 metres in elevation climbed. Mount Kilimanjaro- Completed it🇹🇿🌎✅.
Thanks to all those who have donated and supported to raise money for Dig Deep Africa.
We managed to raise over £40,000 for sanitation systems in Kenya.

Good grief. You're going to war with teams in the bottom four managed by Gary Caldwell, Paul Warne and Grant McCann, and you think Robbie Savage is the answer?! Horrendous decision. Posh going down.
Club Statement on the future of FGR manager Robbie Savage
FGR Chairman Dale Vince said: “We have given Robbie Savage permission to speak to Peterborough.
He wanted to leave the club for personal reasons, reasons which we understand and respect.
He’s been offered the job, and we’re now in a negotiation with Peterborough on the terms.
We wish Robbie the very best.”

Be delighted with this. He has done a really good job in 5 of his 6 managerial spells.
In 4 seasons at L1 level - he has had his team in the play-offs each time.
Taken Bradford from 18th in L2 to top of L1.
Listen to any of his interviews, he is an inspired leader. #pnefc
Slightly concerned at whether the defence suits the way he will want to play but Grezza will care more than anyone else & is an incredibly hard worker.
Well worth a listen... if this doesn't get you onside then I don't know what will!

Rob Edwards makes the most sense.
Plays a back 3 and developed players with an agressive style on top of defensive foundations.
Worry: Hasn’t stayed anywhere longer than a cup of tea & would he want a more stable club?

Who Should Preston Appoint Next?
In this week's Monday Recap pod, @AliMaxwell_ and @GeorgeElek break down the Championship weekend and suggest who PNE should name as their new head coach. Listen here. 👉 pod.fo/e/60fad4
NB: We can’t play a back 4 until the defence is improved.
I couldn’t quite believe PH attempted to play a back 4 at the start of the season with the options we had. #pnefc

Any football club in 2026 should know who they want as their next manager before they pull the trigger.
Let’s hope it’s a quick process, because it’s already a bit of a farce to be searching for another manager.
Not many of the realistic, unemployed options excite me… #pnefc
Enjoyed some good moments under PH.
Coaches with way better records have been sacked at Deepdale.
‘Significant investment’ pretty much all came this summer - he got just 11 days with the complete new squad.

Preston North End Football Club have today taken the decision to part company with Paul Heckingbottom as First Team Football Manager.
Football is a results business and despite significant investment in the playing squad since Paul joined, the results during 2026 and the start of this current campaign have not been acceptable.
Paul leaves us with our thanks and best wishes. His professionalism and work ethic during his time with us have been second to none.
As a result of this decision Stuart McCall has also left the Club today. We similarly thank Stuart for his contribution over the last two years and wish him all the best for the future.
We will now look to appoint a new manager as soon as possible but until such time as we do Jason Euell will take charge of first team matters on an interim basis.
I’m at the Hill Dickinson Stadium today working for Everton FC as they take on Tottenham Hotspur.
I’ll be on commentary with former player - Ian Snodin.
We can be heard across Everton FC’s audio platforms, Everton TV and on their highlight packages after the game.

Absolutely gutted for Newcastle United.
Eddie Howe has long been one of my favourite people involved in football and he’s done an unbelievable job there.
He certainly will not be short of offers. #NUFC
Well that’s one way of starting the season on the back foot…
Fans understandably upset at the lack of dignity and respect shown to Stuart Maynard.
Scott Lindsay has underachieved in 3 of his 4 jobs… the last 2 pretty spectacularly so. #YCFC
York City Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Lindsey as the club’s new Head Coach.
Lindsey joins the Minstermen ahead of our return to League Two, bringing with him a vast wealth of experience working across the EFL.

Ludicrous way to treat a title winning manager.
They can’t claim this is some sort of long-term thinking when it’s so close to the start of the season.
Any coach with an ounce of credibility wouldn’t touch this job with a barge pole. #YCFC
York City Football Club can confirm that Stuart Maynard will be leaving his role as First Team Manager, with immediate effect.
This has not been an easy decision, and it is not one the board has taken lightly. Ultimately, it comes down to a difference in direction and vision for the football club.
We recognise that, from the outside, this may look like a strange or difficult decision to understand. But we believe that in the long term, the football club will be in a stronger position because of it, another step towards the vision we, as custodians of this club, believe will deliver sustained success.
Like every one of you, we love this football club, and we would never make a decision we didn’t believe was in its best long-term interests. We hope our track record of improving year on year has earned us a degree of trust, and we understand that not everyone will agree with, or fully understand, this decision right away.
We would like to thank Stuart for his contribution to York City FC and wish him well for the future.

On Tuchel now to make this look better with time. Will take a lot for people to get over Argentina, he needs to keep winning, especially the major games.
I'd want him to go for it in the Nations League, minimum target the Finals. It's a chance to play and beat top teams, use it.
The BEST permanent signing PNE have made in my lifetime.
I’m stunned we’ve got it over the line. Fair play. 👏 #pnefc
He’s done a simply incredible job.
3 promotions in 3 seasons as an EFL manager.
He’s been the underdog and the big dog. A massive shame for Ipswich who have an incredibly tough job in replacing him. #ITFC
Absolutely mental.
A huge gamble to take on a manager with a half decent record in Portugal but with no experience in England.
Choosing a manager because they’re linked to Jorge Mendes is a crazy way to prepare for a season where anything but promotion is failure. #WWFC
Wolves have sacked Rob Edwards after agreeing deal to bring in Cesar Peixoto as his replacement. Edwards first heard of his sacking after members of his family saw rumours of Peixoto’s appointment on social media and Edwards called the club to ask about the rumours. #wwfc
A big gamble from County and HUGE shoes to fill for McNulty.
Expectation will be high after constant success under Challinor.
I hope they’re able to give him time to settle in and implement his own ideas and style.
A sensible and logical appointment.
I’m not sure #Rovers have ever really kicked on since he left.
Unfortunately, with the ownership I do think there’s a ceiling at the level.
You might as well play attractive football, develop youngsters & have a decent man at the helm.
We are delighted to welcome back Tony Mowbray, who returns to Ewood Park as our Head Coach ™️
