cilantro = coriander. I only recently learnt this one. Having been aware of ''cilantro'' for a while but being under the suspicion it was some 'erby mexican off shoot, only to find out why ofcourse its 'their' word for coriander. 🙃

👍 The speech Fidel Castro made in his own defense in his trial after being captured in 1953, after the failed attack on the Mocada Barrack in July 26, 1953, was called, "La Historia Me Absolvera", or 'History Will Absolve Me'. In this meme, the speech was changed to "The Shit Will Absorbe Me"

My mother gave me a couple of pieces of absolutely frustrated advice. One of them was, if you go to a party or a ball by yourself dance with all the girls. And I've always been that way naturally anyway. I didn't want to show Too Much preference. Anyway if the prince wants to be a popular Prince then dance with all the members of the Court

Fundamentalist Protestants tend to be fanatical about "creationism" versus "evolution" (unlike the Catholics). Do Muslims & Mormons get passionate on those topics, too? But I do know that most Muslims (including @oranaise) are extremely obsessed with the topic of "evil" Israel.

God and evolution and suchlike used to greatly pre-occupy me as a youth & a young man, but one thing I've discovered after 8 decades, 2 wars and countless miscellaneous contretemps in 58 countries in this vail of tears of ours is... I don't worry about any of it much any more.
