Our founder, @Jackson_Dill, has released a statement on the future of Jackson's Weather: "This has been an extremely-tough decision for me but Jackson’s Weather will become inactive effective July 27th."

I guess the time has come: Jackson's Weather will become inactive, as of now. I will miss it very much but I am excited for the future, making for a very bittersweet moment. For now, this is good bye but hopefully I will have exciting news to share later on.
A very nice, final weekend of July is ahead overall with sunshine and a spotty storm on Saturday, then sunny skies and much lower humidity on Sunday: bit.ly/2wh3qTY

Much of the eastern US will be cool and stormy next week. The only hot spot will be New England and parts of the Mid-Atlantic.
3pm: It’s an active afternoon with a heavy storm affecting Danbury and surrounding towns. There is also a storm over northeastern New Jersey that will track into southern and central parts of our area after 3:15pm.

47M people in the Northeast are currently under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, spanning from Maine to Virginia. Damaging winds and flash flooding will be the main concerns through this evening.
Weekend plans? May I suggest the beach on Saturday as blend of sun and clouds fills the sky overhead. Watch for a spotty afternoon storm, however: bit.ly/2wh3qTY
1:39pm: Watch for brief, passing showers and storms this afternoon ahead of the main line after 9pm this evening. That line may be severe, containing localized damaging winds.
JUST IN: A #Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for all of southwestern Connecticut until 10pm.
SEVEN-DAY FORECAST: A round of storms this evening will be followed by a beautiful weekend overall before storms return by mid-next week: bit.ly/2wh3qTY
A similar weather pattern will return mid-next week, introducing the recurring threat for showers and thunderstorms: bit.ly/2wh3qTY

The best chance for severe weather this afternoon will be west of I-95. As the storms track toward the coast by sunset, they should weaken.
A potentially strong to severe line of thunderstorms will move through between 8 and 10pm this evening, containing damaging winds: bit.ly/2wh3qTY
TOP STORY: A seasonable stretch of weather will end July and welcome August as high temperatures hover near 80F: bit.ly/2wh3qTY
A nice Friday is ahead to end the week overall, featuring sunny to partly cloudy skies and humid conditions. Watch out for storms late in the day: bit.ly/2wh3qTY

If you happen to be situated along either coast of the US, chances are high you have witnessed extreme #weather this week: bit.ly/2v3bSa2
Preparing my very last forecast for jacksonsweather.com right now. Will be published this evening.
A very nice final weekend of July is in store, featuring generally sunny skies and high temperatures close to average: bit.ly/2wh3qTY
Following a reprieve from the wet weather this weekend, a similar weather pattern will allow for more rounds of storms mid-next week: bit.ly/2wh3qTY
