My full review for Clayface is on my YouTube channel, Reviews From the Lobby. Truly bummed that I didn't like this movie more: youtu.be/OyzzkZiJ528
Clayface is torn between being a fun-nasty B-movie and a dark psychodrama, but doesn’t do the psychodrama part well. There’s a 15 minute stretch where this goes full B-movie, and it rocks, so you can’t help but wonder why the hell the whole movie isn’t like that.

I know the last 10 years have been extremely rough for BioWare, but goddamn I was hoping to see whatever their new Mass Effect game was going to be, warts and all. This fucking sucks man.

Now seated for Clayface (2026). This is easily my most anticipated DC movie for a while, really hope this is more of a horror movie and less of a modern comic book movie. Also curious to see what a Mike Flanagan script directed by James Watkins looks like.

The first time I ever heard a story like this was about one of the most infamous family annihilators of all time, John List. An American, who did “fake commuting” in the 1970s. That’s my way of saying I highly doubt this is exclusively happening in China right now in the 2020s.
JUST IN: China's struggling job market fuels new trend of "fake commuting," with unemployed workers leaving home each morning to convince their families they still have jobs. — Reuters

I totally understand if people bounce off of Possible Love’s length and idiosyncrasies, but as someone who got laid off from a longtime job last year and is still reckoning with bits of the aftermath, this crushed my entire chest in. One of my favorite movies of 2026.

Continuing to plug away at my YouTube channel slowly but surely with a review for Whalefall, a flawed but extremely harrowing survival thriller. Amazed this has a PG-13 rating: youtu.be/mqsBFZ98TN0?is=XdXL…

I don’t think there’s a single bad actor in The Devils, and the obvious standouts of Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave are showstopping, but the supporting cast is SWINGING for the fences, and I don’t know if anyone was swinging harder than Michael Gothard. Dear fucking lord man.

My Letterboxd entry is coming to life, I’m so happy:
you can see everything was so crazy my friends and i gathered in a circle in the parking lot to discuss the film for 20+ mins

This is definitely not the biggest takeaway from finally seeing The Devils for the first time, but: I had no idea that the “Bring out your dead” bit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a parody of The Devils?

I won’t speak for everybody in the room, but I definitely wanted to sink into the floor and die during this part at the press screening for the Austin Film Critics Association.
Elizabeth Holmes husband voiceover talking about moving to Texas, shot is a cyber truck next to the Tesla plant with a road sign leading to Austin. The city is safe haven for capitalist criminals and I definitely think nathan is alluding to that. Whole theatre groaned/laughed

My 2nd review for my new channel is one of the more difficult reviews I've ever tackled in any medium. You Can See Everything is guaranteed to be one of the most talked about movies of 2026, and for good reason: youtu.be/t4wtMwwA1tE?si=_a2b…

Now seated for Whalefall. Very ready to see Austin Abrams continue to suffer this Fall moviegoing season.

Can’t tell if I’m going to be in the minority on this but: I think this looks really fucking cool and interesting. Way more interested in this than I was before, genuinely hopeful that this is awesome.
The first trailer for Greta Gerwig's ‘NARNIA’ has been released. In theaters on February 12, 2027.

You Can See Everything is one of the more interesting meditations on the fruitless nature of using documentaries to capture the “truth.” Extremely uncomfortable, funny, and frustrating (in a good way). Designed to be argued about in your local theater’s parking lot among friends.
Now seated for You Can See Everything (2026). One of my most anticipated screenings of the month, to put it lightly.

This has been a long time in the making but I'm trying my hand at YouTube reviews. This my channel, Reviews From the Lobby. My inaugural review is for the made-for-TV horror film Dark Night of the Scarecrow. youtu.be/3DM3ikrE0LE?si=cdVo… via @YouTube

Could not have done this without help from my best friends. Still getting used to Adobe Character Animator, but I'm proud to put something out there. I've never loved my face on camera, but I do like my voice, and this is the best way I can think of to find a happy medium.

That's a way of saying this is still all a bit of a work in progress, but I'm going to start putting videos out there, see what works, see what doesn't. If 2026 has taught me anything, it's that you can't sit around and just hope for stuff to happen. You just gotta go for it.

I can’t believe I haven’t seen anyone post this scene from Out of Sight. Without a doubt the funniest movie death I’ve ever seen.
Is there a death in a film that makes you laugh??
