Today, I get to show the biggest project I’ve ever worked on: a tool that puts into action things I have learned in the last decade of being in the boat biz. I’m excited to finally get feedback and keep improving it. Never done something this far out of my zone. I like it.
I published an app for my team at 4:30 this morning. Is it the big project I’ve been working on since July?
Nope
But it does provide value in insights we didn’t have access to before, and makes forecasting usage intelligent rather than based on vibes and hopes.

I just don’t understand this mentality. I refuse to upset myself over what anyone else has. I have debt, yes. I have things I would love to have and do, yes. But I don’t let someone else’s success shadow my potential to have what I want in life.

Dude wears a cowboy hat and cowboy boots all the time, is clearly trying to affect a southern drawl which is funny on top of his Dutch accent, and every time the topic comes up he’ll tell you all day long about how great America is and how much the Netherlands sucks. Married a local girl, had two kids with her, he’s one of the most enthusiastically American people I’ve ever met
