My book on @OliverJeffers picturebooks was published in October & I'm incredibly proud of this body of work ⭐🚀 It is the first monograph to critically explore Jeffers' visual storytelling, & offers a compelling analysis of his work through several theoretical perspectives✨

🚨 academic friends! I am submitting the manuscript for my monograph on theorising Oliver Jeffers' picturebooks to the publishers next week - any last minute tips, tricks, or advice? 📚 This is my first monograph so I'm equal parts nervous and excited, and also sleep deprived 🙈
Some exciting work news... I'm very honoured and excited to share that I've been awarded one of this year's Kvalifiseringsstipend from NTNU 🥹 🎉 This award funds my research for two years with the aim of qualifying for promotion to full professor in 2027 🤓

Thrilled to have my contributor copy of Alice Through the Looking-Glass: A Companion (eds. @frankendodo & @justinehouyaux) 🪞🐇 My chapter explores reflections of identity in Looking-Glass through contemporary illustration (@BENLACOMBE) & fine art photography (Kirsty Mitchell) ✨
A special word of thanks to Kirsty Mitchell who kindly allowed me to use her fine art photographs in this chapter. Her Wonderland collection is stunning, and I continue to be in awe of her talent 📷 You can read more about her work here: kirstymitchell.art/wonderlan…
