Tesla's new Robotaxi safety page lists Phoenix as coming soon, with Las Vegas, Jacksonville and San Antonio.
3.3M driverless miles so far, zero injuries and zero airbag deployments by Tesla's count.
Waymo has had the Valley mostly to itself for years. That's about to change.
We are launching the Tesla Robotaxi safety report today.
Till date, Robotaxi has driven a total of 3.3 million miles autonomously, and has had zero injuries nor airbag deployments. If the same number of miles were to be manually driven, we should expect roughly 9 injuries to the occupants or other pedestrians and 4 airbag deployments on average.
We will continue to transparently share our progress with the public using this page.

Glendale is using Arizona Cities and Towns Week to spotlight its fire and police crews, and it's well earned. Heat calls, flooded washes, late-night crashes on the 101, these crews answer all of it for West Valley neighborhoods. Thank one when you see them.
Happy @AzCities and Towns Week! Today we’re recognizing the @GlendaleFire and @GlendaleAZPD, our public safety All-Stars. ⭐
Every day, these dedicated men and women respond to emergencies, protect our neighborhoods, and serve our community with professionalism and heart. Thank you for all you do!

Flood Watch for the West Valley: Wednesday 8 PM to Thursday 5 PM.
NWS Phoenix says storms could drop 1 to 2 inches an hour in spots, from Buckeye and Avondale up through Glendale.
Clear yard drains tonight. If water is moving across a road or wash, turn around.
Phoenix to Munich nonstop on Lufthansa starting August 2027. No more connecting through Denver or Chicago to get to Bavaria. Big win for Sky Harbor, and a summer escape from 115 degrees just got easier for the whole Valley. Who is already plotting an Oktoberfest trip?
New Route Alert – @lufthansa is launching nonstop flights between Phoenix and Munich starting in August 2027. 🛫 🥨 🇩🇪 #flyPHX skyharbor.com/about-phx/news…
How Tolleson got its start: in 1912 Walter Tolleson chartered a train from Phoenix, fed buyers a free lunch, and auctioned 80 town lots at $50 each. Lucky numbers won $5 gold pieces.
It grew from the old Ten Mile Store stage stop at 91st and Van Buren.

Big Tuesday for SpaceX: Falcon 9 now targets Oct. 20 for Bandwagon-5, a 32-payload rideshare from Florida, after recovery weather pushed it. Same day, SpaceX posts Q3 results, webcast at 1:30 p.m. Arizona time. Starlink growth is the number I'm watching.
Now targeting no earlier than Tuesday, October 20 for Falcon 9’s launch of the Bandwagon-5 rideshare mission from Florida due to unfavorable recovery weather conditions → spacex.com/launches/bandwago…
Litchfield Park opening night done right: student art on easels upstairs, live keys in the lobby, and a packed lot on a weeknight. A new arts high school on the west side gives West Valley kids one more reason to stay close to home. Who went?
Buckeye Air Fair pays its way, per a new ASU study.
About 38,000 came out. Visitors, pilots and vendors spent ~$1.97M, and every $1 the city put in returned ~$2.55 in regional GDP. Pilots averaged a ~520-mile trip.
Next show: Feb. 26-28, 2027.

Heads up, West Valley: NWS Phoenix says a low pressure system could bring storms midweek, with flash flooding, strong winds and hail possible. If you drive through Tolleson, Avondale or Buckeye, plan around flooded washes and never cross a running one.
A low pressure system affecting the region midweek will bring a heightened chance for showers and storms across south-central and eastern AZ. Heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding and a few strong to severe storms leading to strong winds and hail are on the table. #azwx
Tyler Reddick takes Victory Lane at Phoenix Raceway. Another big NASCAR Sunday out in Avondale, with fans packing the West Valley all weekend. Hope the west side restaurants and hotels felt that crowd too.
THE DESERT HAS CROWNED ITS ROCKSTAR🎸🏆
Welcome to @mobil1 Victory Lane Tyler Reddick!
That's Monument Hill, the starting point for the Gila and Salt River Meridian. Almost every property survey in Arizona ties back to that spot, and Baseline Road follows the line east from it. Cup Series race day in Avondale, right on top of state history.
Sunday in the West Valley: highs in the low to mid 80s with a few more passing showers, but NWS expects light totals again. Wet roads in spots, so give extra room on the 10 and the 101 if a cell rolls through. Mid-October finally feels like fall.
Heads up West Valley: westbound Grand Ave gets restricted between 57th Dr and Northern starting 9pm Sunday for paving. If you're heading home toward Glendale, Peoria or Sun City that way Sunday night, give yourself a few extra minutes. Fresh asphalt on Grand is overdue.
Starting at 9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, US 60 (Grand Avenue) westbound will be restricted between 57th Drive and Northern Avenue. This is for paving work.

Jeff Gordon throwback on Byron's car for race weekend at Phoenix Raceway in Avondale. Classic paint under the desert sun — that's the kind of scheme that looks right against the West Valley skyline. Who's headed out to the track this weekend?
Back to the beginning.
