In the USA πΊπΈ $50K basically gets you a used Chevy Tahoe these days
In 11 Latin American cities, it still buys you a brand new apartment
In one of the *BEST* areas of the city
TE LO JURO

Still many of these gems, just need to know where to look.
And again, don't really care as none of us have any control over it
Point. Blank. Period.
Immigration is out of the citizens hands at this point, blame the governments if you have an issue because there's really nothing else to do about it
There's 10X the amount of immigrants in the USA πΊπΈ as there is the entire population in Costa Rica π¨π·
40% are illegal immigrants (very low end estimate)
And 60% of them are on some form of welfare, so roughly 30 million immigrants on welfare
Sooo yeah...
The idea that Latin America doesn't "interfere in our business" is the biggest load of shit ever
But whatever, if you want foreigners gone, take it up with your government
The majority of westerners immigrating to Latin America do it legally, so again, blame your government who put their FDI numbers far above whatever it is you're bitching and moaning about here

Itβs different when us as latinos criticize the USA that itβs a country that always tends to interfere on our businesses, politics and culture unlike you and other gringos that came in a position of privilege in a place that you are NOT welcome to stay and you moan about it stfu
Great video here on investing in Uruguay πΊπΎ

Uruguay and Punta del Este real estate is the big winner.
Surprisingly good analysis in this video from just before the election.

These comments are always funny to me...
Because I wouldn't really care if someone said something accurate, but slightly negative about the USA:
- It's just so expensive
- Most cities are not really walkable
- Felt like I spent way too much time in my car there
- Culturally, I didn't like x,y,z
Everyone has opinions on the USA worldwide
Whatever, if it's accurate and fair, do NOT care whatsoever
But man, some of these commie Latinos really get uptight about similar style shit
GOT DAMN @andyyy
Landing CZ happened over the last 24 hours, with pretty much no time to prep.
I was the best man at my best friend's wedding in North Carolina this weekend. Last night I got the text that he was in town and that he wanted to speak with us while he was in town...
So, I changed my flight to 6am this morning to be in NYC as early as possible. Dealt with a ton of airport delays and traffic to get to the event that CZ was speaking at with just 30 mins left.
I was sweating in a half jog with my suitcases to the event to make it in time. When I arrived, I had the chance for 5-10 mins and the rest is history.
His team mentioned to me that he wanted to come back on at some point in the near future for a full podcast interview, so stay tuned for that and enjoy the short convo below!
Let's keep winning fam.
I almost didn't make this video...
While the numbers are so good it feels borderline illegal, they're not even the interesting part
The interesting part?
It's about why people come to MedellΓn for a week and never leave, like Danny who has been to 300+ cities and picked this one for good

HARD TO DISAGREE
Unless you have good conversational Spanish, vast experience traveling around Latin America, and a decent bankroll...
Venezuela is going to be rough, especially for gringos "fresh off the boat"
On the flip-side...
Venezuela π»πͺ felt like an adventure, like there was something to explore
And it's been years since I've felt that, the adrenaline from going somewhere that didn't feel eerily similar to so many other places

I strongly advise digital nomads against choosing Vzla, with very few exceptions.

Real quick...
This is NOT cheap country
Yachts outside, blackouts inside
And a 13% gap between two exchange rates that most cost-of-living posts ignore
If you're on a tight budget, you're far better off in Bolivia π§π΄ or Ecuador πͺπ¨ or Paraguay π΅πΎ
π΅π¦ PANAMA π΅π¦
If the 7.7 earthquake scares you off Panama, you took the wrong lesson from it
The lesson is this...
What other capital city in Latin America gets hit with a monster 'quake and barely flinches?!
PTY stood *more* than strong and the building code functioned as it should have
900+ aftershocks in, that's what I'd tell anyone considering moving here

Brazil π§π· is in Venezuela π»πͺ 2015 territory: A majority right congress with a leftist executive and judicial supermajority
They will either remove the opposition like they already did with Deltan previously or simply overrule them with judicial decisions
Pray for us
Even after 12+ years living in Latin America, Brazil π§π· never ceases to amazeβ¦
The brazen corruption, and the sheer scale of it, is truly mind-blowing π€―
Almost impressive tbh
Lulaβs personal attorney, now a judge in Brazil, appears to be presiding over the open rigging of Brazilβs election today.
According to Brazilian observers, the corrupt judge waited until pro-Bolsonaro precincts had closed their polls and then said only polls still openβmost of which were pro-Lulaβcould remain open.
