Vivek’s ad speaks to the rotten moral core Donald Trump has created in my party. Now Trump wannabes J.D. Vance and Vivek want to lead its future. If we don’t get our act together, this is where the Republican Party is headed.

Amy Acton’s estranged mother knew her husband had a daughter from a previous marriage who’d also accused him of rape. But when 12-year-old Amy told her mom that he was raping her, instead of concluding she was married to a pedophile rapist she concluded both girls were lying.
Tapper: Trump's closing argument akin to 'we stand by those who stand by child rapists' Hear unearthed audio from Amy Acton's estranged mother, who is featured in Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's controversial ad.

"So there it is, the morbid phenomenon of late Trumpism on full display: Smearing a survivor of child sexual abuse; running an ad featuring a primary enabler of the abuse; and complaining that some decent people in his party are offended by this." thebulwark.com/p/the-monster…

Soul of republican party is gone. Been gone. Now along w protecting Epstein pedos they back Ramaswamy attacking a victim of a pedophile in political ads. Beyond disgusting. Happened when the lady was 9-12 yrs old. Step dad was indicted. Incredible. A sitting president backs it

Dr Amy Acton was raped by her step father for years before he was arrested and indicted. He died a fugitive. She is a survivor who deserves respect. Shame on Vivek Ramiswami

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

Ukraine was winning the war, so Trump kneecapped Ukraine to help Russia. I wish it weren’t that simple, but it is. Our president is in bed with our enemies.

Vivek Ramaswami should be ashamed of himself for attempting to exploit the obviously troubled mother of a sex abuse survivor. Dr. Amy Acton was allegedly raped by her stepdad with whom the mother stayed married. The rapist reportedly fled and died a fugitive. Politics is a scummy game, but this is beneath contempt. Ramaswami must renounce this ad ASAP.

This should end JD Vance political career. Ramaseamy attack ad was disgusting. Amy was raped by her 'father' for years & he was indicted. This when she was 9-12 yrs old. JD supports pedophiles. Ramaswamy gained his wealth w fraud. A POS
"Vivek Ramaswamy had the audacity to run a TV commercial which calls it out like it is, and calls Amy Acton a liar." VP JD Vance defends Vivek Ramaswamy as Democrats and the Ohio media focus on his latest campaign ad targeting Acton and her family. Vance says the backlash is just the latest in a series of attacks against his longtime friend. "I've watched the Democrats lie about his family," Vance says, adding that he's watched them "throw every dirty trick in the political book at Vivek." In 1994, Ukraine gave up the world’s third-largest nuclear arsenal on America’s word. This month, the president traded that word for a diesel deal with Putin. Watch what he does for Putin. It shows what he wants to do with his power over you. 👇🏼

It is a basic principle of American democracy that the government can’t selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say. But that’s exactly what the Trump Administration is doing to Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. To understand why this is so appalling, it’s important to know the facts. Congresswoman Omar came to this country with her father when she was 12 years old. Five years later, her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan had been 18 at the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately. But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically. Congresswoman Omar went on to graduate from college, work as a community organizer, become the first Somali-American legislator elected to public office in the U.S., and win a seat in Congress. There, she has been one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics, which has led the president to repeatedly single her out as someone who he believes does not belong in this country. Now the Administration is actively trying to deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized, and therefore is not a citizen. Federal agents have raided her home, confiscated personal records, and seized her phone — all to try and uncover a nonexistent smoking gun from 20 years ago that will somehow make their case. Think about that. The full weight of the federal government is being brought down on a law-abiding elected official because she has dared to criticize the president. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Under President Trump, the Justice Department has repeatedly gone after those he considers his political enemies — from the Attorney General of New York, to the former head of the FBI, to members of the Federal Reserve. In those cases, the prosecutions either stalled or were dismissed for having no basis in law, and the same is likely to happen in this case. But not before Congresswoman Omar’s life has been turned upside down, her legal bills have piled up, and she’s been forced to spend time fighting unsubstantiated charges instead of serving the people of Minnesota. The fact that any president, or any administration, is willing to engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans, regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar’s political views. Because if this becomes the new normal, there’s no reason to believe it will stop with her — or that future presidents, in either party, won’t do the same.

Birds of a feather…. Russia, North Korea, China and now…. Not Canada, not Mexico, not Italy, France, Germany, UK… go ahead, say it… There is a serious risk of trading long-term American security for short-term political relief.

I am grateful to all of you who are trying to keep Europe and the United States together. There are so many people with good hearts in America who sincerely want evil to lose and Ukraine to stand strong. These are the very hearts that helped Europe defend its freedom, and that fought on D-Day, won the Cold War, and want what is best for Europe. Hearts that want to be allies, not to divide or humiliate Europe. I believe most Americans still feel this way. And at the end of the day, the American people will have their say. Putin will listen to America if America really turns up the heat on him and makes one thing clear – either he chooses peace, or he gets no more money for his war. From an address to the participants of the European Council meeting. (2/5)
