I thought I was just being featured on the online Wall Street Journal, but the article also made it into their physical newspaper on Friday.
Feeling very grateful and blessed to be able to support @Strategy with a positive view on their common and preferred stocks, of which I hold around $100,000.
A financial goal needs a life attached to it.
Otherwise, $1 million becomes $2 million. Then $2 million becomes $5 million.
And “enough” keeps moving further away.
It’s not just about hitting a number. It’s about more control over our time, work, relationships, and experiences.

Our capital markets decisions are driven by what we believe will maximize our *long-run* total returns. We have been consistent that we believe the most powerful and sustainable engine to power total returns in excess of Bitcoin is our amplification ratio.
We've built a leading amplification ratio today at over 60%, but maximizing our amplification ratio over the long-run requires continuing to support our Digital Credit products. Demonstrating continued access to capital markets during drawdowns and slower periods has been provably helpful in building a track record of success for the credit strength embedded in those instruments. I expect the importance of this track record, specifically how Strive executed during this bear market, to increase in the coming years.
I respectfully disagree that a "honeymoon" period is over for Strive as I believe we've only now built an amplification engine that has a durable moat along with no PIPE warrants remaining. I don't think most investors even understand the value of our amplification engine yet, which makes sense as amplification is designed to generate returns when Bitcoin moves up, and its been largely flat this year.
When Bitcoin slows down, our base case is patience, and we've demonstrated that several times during this past year, but we've also demonstrated we're always ready to take bold actions on a moments notice.
Less macro than the above, but we think $SATA has continued to trade very strong with strong demand. Even with the significant spike in $SATA short interest reported on 10/15, which was shortly after the announcement of $SATS, $SATA remains not much below $99, without a single dollar of buybacks. There are index rebalances coming up which should put in some decent size orders for $SATA. We've generally leaned towards increasing the interest rate over buybacks, but have also demonstrated multiple times that patience (doing nothing) can do the trick as well, as these are very attractive products.
Lastly, there is an interesting, but large divergence in the viewpoint among many retail investors vs institutional shareholders in terms of common equity ATM usage. The institutions overwhelmingly want more common equity ATM usage with any premium, many retail investors want less or none.
Our view has consistenly been in the middle, and I believe taking the extreme on either side would raise our overall cost of capital. We recently explained this to several of our large institutional shareholders asking for more common equity ATM usage during the $SATS IPO, and I want to offer the same to the retail investors asking for the opposite.
During the last bull market, the vast majority of excess returns for MSTR over Bitcoin were driven by accretive common equity issuance. We've been consistent in our belief that it wasn't a sustainable model because there was no amplification engine, but also believe it was the rational decision at the time, as a high mNAV without amplification wouldn't have been sustainable either.
The ideal scenario has always been having an amplification engine that has scarcity and sustainable growth while also being able to issue common equity accretively. Importantly, accretive common equity issuance isn't a requirement, as the amplification drives the majority of returns, unlike the last bull market, but it's a potential return amplifier.
What this means in practice is likely less relative common equity ATM issuance than what investors saw MSTR do during the last bull market. That said, it will probably be more common equity issuance than some retail investors would want, and less than many institutional investors want, driven by what we believe will maximize total returns based on all of the data and information we have access to.

Saying there’s no reason to buy Bitcoin because anyone can create a cryptocurrency is like saying there’s no reason to learn English because anyone can invent a language.
On June 25 I said $STRC at $82 was a 14% yield with a gain on top once it got back to par.
Monday's close: $99.17
That's +21% on price and about 26% including dividends in four months. The dividend rate went up too.
Fear priced it as broken. It was on sale.
And it’s still a great buy at ~$99.50.
Thank you to all the ignorant lettuce hands and over-leveraged traders. Your sacrifice will be remembered 🙌🏼
Stretch your yield to 14% with $82 $STRC and pocket an 18% capital gain on top when it inevitably returns to par.
Curious where everyone's at. Would you still add $STRC near $99 with the 12% rate, or wait for another fear dip?
“Build wealth” is a wish.
“Invest this much each month toward this life by this date” is a plan.
A useful investing goal has:
- A purpose.
- A target.
- A timeline.
- A contribution rate.
Once the destination is clear, daily market noise becomes far less important.
Big week ahead.
Fed decision on Wednesday. $MSFT and $GOOGL report that same evening, then $AMZN on Thursday.
Bitcoin is sitting around $80k and the timeline is already nervous.
I don't need to predict any of it. My plan was built for weeks like this: income keeps coming in, growth keeps compounding, and I keep adding.
Volatility is just the price we pay for the outsized returns.
Good morning!
Loving the view from the balcony today 😁🌴
Now if only our portfolio’s could have this much green next week… 🟢
Good morning!
Breakfast in bed and a beautiful rice field view.
Lots of green today 🌱🥑 to counteract yesterday’s tech sell-off 🔴
How do you think today will be? 🟢/🔴
It’s awesome that Robinhood listed $SATS, but it looks like they got it confused with a Japanese venture capital company also called Strive 😅
I bought some today anyways 😏

You don’t need to solve your entire financial life today.
Build the next rung.
Create the emergency fund.
Invest the first $10,000.
Reach the first $100,000.
Grow the first $1,000 of annual portfolio income.
Big goals become manageable when the next milestone is clear.
I want to enjoy the products shaping the future.
But I also want to own the businesses and assets creating them.
Consumption gives me something today. Ownership gives me a claim on tomorrow.
We don’t need to stop consuming. We just gradually become more owner than customer.
When your portfolio is small, your savings rate matters more than squeezing out another 1% of performance.
The best investment strategy cannot compound money that never enters the account.
Returns become more powerful as the capital base grows, but saving builds the base.
Good morning and happy weekend!
I often like starting the day off with a fruit smoothie bowl.
Sweet, cleansing, and delicious.
What’s your go-to breakfast?
Lifestyle inflation compounds too.
Every recurring upgrade doesn’t only cost money today. It also increases the amount of wealth required to fund your freedom forever.
I’m not against living well.
I simply want every long-term addition to my lifestyle to earn its place.
Some people would rather go to
PRISON in order to save money for retirement…
rather than simply learning about the $BLOX income ETF.
Thank you to the legend @Retiredat40HQ for finding this hilarious Reddit FIRE post.
Celebrate the milestones.
Not because your journey is finished, but because progress deserves it.
If every achievement becomes a new expectation, wealth can grow while satisfaction stays flat.
Gratitude and ambition aren’t opposites.
I want enough of both to enjoy the climb.
