“The brutality, mistreatment, or torture has ever forced me to ask for grace, for I prefer to die with my head high, my faith unshakable, and my confidence profound in the destiny of my country, rather than live in submission and scorn of sacred principles. Patrice Lumumba.”

A Grade 2 boy takes his sister’s car this evening on the Thika Road service lane in Kahawa Wendani.
He loses control.
One pedestrian is dead.
Two others are fighting for their lives.
A child that young. Behind the wheel. Alone.
How does this even happen?
Where were the adults?
Who left the keys within reach?
Parents… what’s your honest take on this?
What fails in a home, in a moment, for something this irreversible to unfold?
This one hurts.

How come sex is the only responsibility in a marriage that most seem to think one must be in the "mood" for? Mothers wake up in the middle of the night to nurse their babies because it's their duty. Men work hard to provide because it's their duty. But for some reason, one can deprive their husband when they're not in the mood, even though God commands her not to do this.

This is so concerning, listen to this mother worrying about her teenage child who allegedly lied to her before sneaking out for a Halloween night at Village Market. Another worry was the cab driver who dropped the minors off at the mall alone despite having received clear instructions from the mother. Watoto wamekua wajanja sana siku izi.

Former television host Regina Wambui Gitau, popularly known as Regina Re, is among four relatives granted 10 days in police custody as detectives investigate the murder of her 86-year-old mother, Dorita Lasinder Macharia, at her Loresho home in Nairobi.
Police told the court that Macharia had disagreed with her granddaughter, Thandie Malaika Wanjiku Gitao, before she was found dead on the evening of October 30 with a deep cut wound on the left side of her neck.
Regina Re, who became a familiar face on Kenyan television through the game show “Who’s Smarter Now?”, which she hosted between 1999 and 2006, appeared in court alongside her daughter and two other relatives on Monday, November 2.
Detectives have been granted more time to analyze CCTV footage, conduct forensic examinations, obtain phone records and interview witnesses as investigations continue.

DPP secures 14-year jail sentence for former Provincial Commissioner David Nathan in Ksh1.35 billion land fraud case.
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has today secured a 14-year prison sentence for former Nairobi Provincial Commissioner Davis Nathan Chelogoi over a fraudulent scheme involving a 7.39-hectare parcel of land in Lower Kabete, Nairobi, valued at Ksh1.35 billion.
Milimani Chief Magistrate Dolphina Alego found Chelogoi guilty of six offences arising from attempts to fraudulently acquire land parcel Nairobi/Block/80/44 belonging to businessmen Ashok Rupshi Shah and Hitenkumar Amritlal Raja.
The court sentenced Chelogoi to two years' imprisonment for conspiracy to defraud, two years for forcible detainer, three years for each of the two counts of forgery, three years for uttering a forged document and one year for procuring registration of land by false pretences.
The court directed that all the sentences run concurrently.
In its judgment, the court found that Chelogoi forged a letter of allotment dated 31st January 1995, purporting to have been issued by the Commissioner of Lands to support his claim to the property.
The court further established that on 11th October 11 2023, at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters along Kiambu Road, Chelogoi knowingly presented forged documents, including the purported letter of allotment and a certificate bearing a forged signature and stamp impression attributed to land registrar Paul Achieng Pesa.
The documents were presented as genuine records to support his claim of ownership and dealings in the disputed property.
In a further order, Hon. Alego directed the Land Registrar to cancel any parallel title or registration issued in respect of the property, affirming that the land belongs to Shah and Raja.
Prosecution called 19 witnesses and presented documentary and expert evidence to prove the six counts against Chelogoi.
The case was prosecuted by Sonia Njoki, Hillary Isiaho and James Murage.

Transparency, Accoubtability, sustainable development. The #LindaMwananchiMovement promise is to make all project contracts available to the public in conformity with these three Constitutional Values. We all know why the Ruto regime hides these agreements. From Bomas to Talanta to Rironi highway to Lamu refinery, we are being robbed blind.

How they used the long contract to steal and conceal massive theft of billions from the Bomas project;
♦️ A secret contract. 390 pages. Parliament has demanded it for months. The Ministry of Defence refused to table it. Now @StandardKenya has it.
♦️ The Bomas convention complex was approved at Sh31.7bn in 2023. It's now Sh45.1bn.
♦️ That's a Sh13bn jump. No ministry has publicly explained it.
♦️ Look at the "Add Sums":
✅3% for design: Sh856.8m
✅1% for security: Sh285.6m
✅5% provisional sum: Sh1.42bn
♦️ Total: Sh2.57bn. None of it is tied to steel, concrete or labour. Procurement experts call it a corruption allowance.
♦️ Then there's a flat Sh4.97bn for import taxes. No actual customs assessments.
♦️ Add Sh3.56bn for the presidential area fit-out. And Sh18.1m for termite prevention.
♦️ The Auditor-General says direct procurement was approved on Feb 17, 2025, while a tender process was still ongoing.
♦️ Kenyans have a right to know how their money is spent @EACCKenya
