One source close to #mufc feels it is INEVITABLE Jason Wilcox will eventually lose his job IF a third managerial change in as many seasons is made.
Another senior figure says that BOTH Wilcox and Berrada may be vulnerable.

‘Michael Carrick will be given time to turn things around’ and ‘the hierarchy do not want to rush next steps’ should be read and digested for what it really is: an indecisive club without any succession planning or contingencies because it doesn’t have clarity of identity in the first place. A club that often takes the cheap instead of the smart or right route because of the crippling Glazer debt, plus decision-makers who are never aligned - except in their own self-preservation. And it ends up costing more.
It explains the chaotic nature of lurching from one coaching philosophy to its extreme, to revisiting candidates that were on the agenda - some as far back as 2019 - that were already ruled out, to having a shortlist of options with nothing in common to take over a mishmash team that has suffered from horrid squad planning; both in incomings and exits.
Blame the players, blame the name in the dugout while the people who brought them to Manchester United, kept them, created the absolute opposite of a culture of excellence are allowed to rinse and repeat.

Understand one of the main reasons #MUFC have decided to keep Michael Carrick is due to financial reasons. Sir Jim Ratcliffe made the final decision after talks involving Glazers, Berrada & Wilcox. Carrick could have #CFC, #Roma & #AVFC games. @UtdDistrict roundtable.io/sports/soccer/…
And let’s not get it twisted, this isn’t the owners standing by Michael Carrick because they trust him, it’s because they haven’t got a clue what to do next and the reaction from the Stretford End after Bournemouth has spooked them. No plan whatsoever…..

Michael Carrick to be given time to turn things in around at #MUFC. Expected to be in charge for Chelsea on Saturday live on @talkSPORT
Meanwhile Man United don’t know what day it is, what players they want, who the manager should be 🙃
Chelsea increasingly confident of signing Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in January.
Scott is Chelsea’s top target after Enzo Fernandez’s left for Manchester City on deadline day over the summer.
Bournemouth want £100m+ and Xabi Alonso’s side are already in fresh talks having made multiple bids over the summer.
Liverpool also hold an interest in Scott, but have less urgency to add a midfielder in January. Monaco's Lamine Camara, who Chelsea failed to sign on deadline day, and Roma's Manu Kone are two other targets.🍒

as of 16:00 gmt today, united staff are still yet to receive any sort of communication as to what's happening with michael carrick. complete silence from the club's execs. there's a feeling of bafflement and confusion to how silent they've been and how carrick is still in the job
Imagine Christopher Vivell will probably walk away today as well won’t he. Pointless job if no one listens to you over Jason fucking Wilcox.
