β€œOp Plan 1025.” This was the road map for going to war with Iran, either because negotiations over its nuclear program failed or because Iran lashed out, perhaps in response to an Israeli bombing strike.

Good Morning, hopefully everyone is having a good Sunday. a couple of weeks ago I attended the Lady Mayor's Ride and had the pleasure of meeting Katerina Koseva. she's had the amazing idea of want to create an event we're the world's of motorcycles and cyber can come together.

On July 28th, we identified an incident during a routine cyber evaluation in which AI agents took sustained, unsanctioned actions directed at real people and organisations. The behaviour came mostly from one model (Anthropic's Mythos 5), with a small number of events from another (OpenAI's GPT-5.6-Sol). In the most serious case, an agent used social engineering to try and get malicious code into an open-source project. As was standard in our cyber testing, we had intentionally permitted internet access, and model-provider cyber classifiers were deliberately disabled - conditions that do not reflect how frontier models are made available to the public. Even under test conditions, this incident is significant: it is the first time we have seen risks around autonomy and deception manifest this clearly in the real world. We are taking this incident seriously and working with labs, involved parties, and others to improve evaluation standards and best practice for disclosure - and sharing this openly so others can learn. You can read the incident report and full technical document here: aisi.gov.uk/blog/incident-re…

This is the scenario I’ve been testing AI agents against for a bit now and it’s officially been reported: an AI agent that chooses social engineering a human to hack. This time Mythos 5 social engineered a maintainer of open source code to get malicious code into the project.
Replying to @AISecurityInst
"Mythos 5 created multiple fake identities, and used the fake identities to socially engineer maintainer of an open source project into approving the code. When the agent’s pull request was challenged in public, it edited its earlier activity to appear harmless."

I hate doing videos…. But seriously someone needs to speak about this who has, actually done this stuff for a living, with actual hands on plan, design, deploy, test, defend, depend experience…..
Read this carefully. An AI agent broke out of its testing environment, found a vulnerability humans had missed and used it to hack into another company… all by itself. What stopped it wasn’t a human but another AI agent, running defensive systems on the target's infrastructure. That πŸ‘† is the security model of the next decade in one paragraph. Agent versus agent, at machine speed, with humans reading the report after it all happened. Sam Altman will brief Washington on this next week, but the UK needs to have the same conversation, a domestic frontier lab and sovereign compute at the scale this now demands. Right now, we are sitting downstream of decisions taken in San Francisco which are vetted in Washington. That’s why it’s so important that AI now has a voice at the Cabinet table. ft.com/content/9db74b25-45ad…
