The VP of technology at Solana quoted Justin Drake explaining why Sol users won't need to enter “bunker mode.” This is primarily because of their longtime partner company Anza. They have been helping design and implement "an experimental cryptography framework built for post-quantum network migration. This defense technology allows users to seamlessly secure their wallets against future quantum attacks without changing their public wallet addresses."
He even linked a Github repository from Anza in his tweet which shows the general protocol they have designed to defend Solana when the quantum threat arrives, simply called the Proof of Knowledge of Seed (POKOS)
The Anza developers for this prototype, Sam Kim and Max Resnick, even wrote an article back in April explaining how and why this will be needed in the future.

Bunker mode in general is a bearish narrative clearly when Solana themselves is saying our chain doesn't need to worry about it, so why not try and fund the actual devs who are making this possible?

Unlike many networks, Solana users don't need to go into "bunker mode" ahead of an accelerated quantum timeline or classical attack provided by AI.
Solana uses Ed25519, where each signing key is derived by hashing a secret seed. Breaking the curve, whether by a quantum computer or a classical attack, would expose the derived key, but not the seed, and seeds are never exposed onchain. With a one-time network upgrade, rightful owners could prove knowledge of their seed using a hash-based proof and move their accounts to a safe signature scheme.
