Absolutely, totally, 100 percent unacceptable.
Trump’s 250-foot arch would cast a shadow on 50,000-75,000 graves at Arlington National Cemetery, according to studies conducted by VoteVets and the Washington Post. Using a to-scale 3D model, the Post confirmed what VoteVets first uncovered: the arch's shadow would reach the cemetery on 284 days a year, passing over veterans of every war from the Civil War to Vietnam. For 18 days it would cover President Kennedy’s eternal flame, and for 109 days, it would shadow the Military Women’s Memorial. The administration says the arch would “enhance the visitor experience.” Retired Army Major General Paul Eaton, whose own parents are buried at Arlington, called it what it is: a sacrilege. A monument to one man’s ego, casting its shadow over the people who actually earned that ground. The federal panel reviewing it, stacked with Trump allies, could approve it as soon as November 5, with groundbreaking right after. Once it’s built, it cannot be unbuilt. washingtonpost.com/investiga…

Time for the United States to rethink its support of Israel if THIS is the plan.
A new parliamentarian has been elected in Israel. His name is Moshe Feiglin. His views? "Every child, every baby in Gaza is an enemy. We need to conquer Gaza and colonise it. And not leave a single child there. There is no other victory." Read that again. Worse than a Nazi.

So proud of thievery:
The first shipment from the historic Venezuela oil deal arrives TODAY in Corpus Christi, Texas! Thanks to President Trump's leadership, this oil will belong to America and will be refined at home, increasing domestic supply and LOWERING PRICES at the pump. 🇺🇸

U.S. Army Technician Fifth Grade James K. Okubo of Anacortes, Washington, and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Lucian Adams of Port Arthur, Texas, were awarded the Medal of Honor for their extraordinary actions on October 28, 1944, in France. On October 28, 1944, in the Foret Domaniale de Champ, near Biffontaine, eastern France, Okubo crawled 150 yards through intense enemy fire to carry back wounded comrades. He treated 17 men on that day and eight more on October 29. On November 4, he ran, completely exposed, through hostile fire to rescue and treat wounded soldiers from a burning tank. On October 28, 1944, near St. Die, France, Adams’ company was stopped by enemy fire, and he went ahead to scout the German position. When German machine guns opened fire, the rest of the men took cover except for Adams. Adams pressed forward and began killing all of the gunners with grenades and his BAR. For their actions on October 28, 1944, they were awarded the Medal of Honor. #WeRememberThem

HONOR AND HEARTBREAK. The underappreciated General Patch, commander of the 7th Army, pins the Medal of Honor on a Marne Man badass this afternoon in 1944. Read on: Gen. Alexander Patch is one of WWII's finest commanders—leading a division, corps, and army in the field. Ascetic and self-disciplined, he broods over losses while rolling Bull Durham cigarettes. In his pocket book, he carries a faded, crushed flower from Mount Vesuvius. Follow this chain, and see the full article on Substack: substack.com/@alexkershaw

Let's start with: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 If RFK is ignorant about the genesis of mathematics, algebra--and, by the way, the foundational knowledge of modern medicine--what else doesn't he know.
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Novel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

John and I were privileged to visit Kehlsteinhaus with Alex on Friends of the WW-II Memorial "Final Victory Tour" last year. The history of this place is so very important. If we don't know and understand this history, how do we prevent its recurrence?
Thoughts....? I'm sad that this has happened to such an important piece of history. The 3rd Infantry Division liberated it in May 1945. The same unit that landed in North Africa in November 1942, which fought the longest and hardest among US units to liberate Europe.

I won’t go back and list them all, but I’ll start with the most recent: Palestinian scientist Omar Yaghi, who won the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

Palestinian children in Jenin have to crawl under Israeli military gates to get to and from school. Such restrictions have disrupted education for 24,500 Palestinian students in the occupied West Bank this year.

NEW: Pope Leo XIV declared on Tuesday that “there is no such thing as a holy war,” in a video message to religious leaders gathered in Assisi a week before the American midterm elections. The pope has clashed with the White House over the Iran war, which JD Vance and Speaker Mike Johnson have tried to defend with Catholic just war doctrine. On Palm Sunday, Leo said God “does not listen to the prayers of those who wage war, but rejects them.” thelettersfromleo.com/p/ther…

VETERAN SPOTLIGHT We remember World War II Veteran James D. Giles of Waupaca, Wisconsin! Jim Giles was born in Bangor, Wisconsin on June 2, 1924, A proud graduate of Bangor High School’s Class of 1942, Jim went on to serve his country during World War II with the U.S. Army’s 106th Division, 590th Field Artillery Battalion. Captured during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944, he remained a prisoner of war until April 29, 1945. A disabled American veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Jim’s courage and sacrifice will always be remembered. In 1941, Jim met Elaine, the love of his life, in Milwaukee. They married on Thanksgiving Day in 1947 and shared an incredible 73 years together. In 1949, they moved from Bangor to a 10-acre chicken farm at Crystal Lake near Plymouth, where they spent nearly 40 years raising their three children, growing produce, and tending to their chickens. Jim later worked as a Methods Engineer at Tecumseh Products Company in New Holstein until his retirement in 1986. Jim and Elaine embraced retirement with new adventures, purchasing a home in Englewood, Florida, in 1987, where they enjoyed winters filled with sunshine and flowers. In 1993, they began spending summers at their family cottage on Round Lake near Waupaca, surrounded by beautiful oak trees and the peacefulness of nature. Jim passed away on June 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of patriotism, hard work, devotion to family, and a lifetime of cherished memories. He was 102. Thank you for your service, Jim! #WeRememeberThem

An 11th Medal of Honor is awarded to the 15th Infantry Regiment today. By the war's end, there'll be 16 in all, meaning Audie Murphy's unit holds the record for MOHs awarded during WWII. [My greatest honor shown!]

Including the first recipe for PB&J! doomsdayscenario.co/p/twelve… When NY's notorious Boss Tweed fled to Spain to evade criminal charges, he was recognized at the Spanish border...arrested, brought back to the US and ultimately died in prison. (If only this could happen again)

The name calling is just plain silly. People who believe our country is at its best when we all take care of each other and when every person should be treated with respect are not insurgents...or anti-American...or communists. Though they might be Democrats.
THIS is the question Americans have to answer 👇 Are we going to allow the insurgent anti-American Democrats to turn the greatest nation in the history of the world over to communism and EXTREME, EXPENSIVE big government socialism? OR are we going to maintain our constitutional republic that's built on our founding principles like individual freedom, unlimited opportunity, human dignity, and the rule of law? Americans can't afford Democrats' DANGEROUS, CRAZY policies! Republicans are fighting back for common sense.

Meanwhile, are you happy with a do-nothing Congress that abandons its role in policy-making/decision to launch a war? Are you happy to spend millions on detention center/concentration camps? Are you good w unbridled pollution of air/water? Ignoring climate science?
