You hear the word “accountability” all the time in sports. When it’s demanded by a manager, it often leads to a big payoff. Remember a game between the Mets and Brewers at Citi Field in late August? Cooper Pratt, two months into his major league career was pulled from the game by Pat Murphy because, having failed to execute a sacrifice bunt earlier in the game, Pratt did not run hard out of the box on a pop up near the right field line that fell between three Mets fielders. Pratt should have been at second base, but his lack of hustle forced him to hold on at first. Murphy would not tolerate that mistake, especially from a rookie. Well, look at Pratt and the Brewers now. That’s how you establish a winning culture, whether running hard out of the batter’s box is someone’s “cup of tea” or not.

My 12 yr old infielder gets the honor and privilege today of playing at the home of slick-fielding clutch-hitting #Stlcards hero “Postseason Pete” Kozma! @StLCardnalsMlb #Cardinals #Owasso
Our hitting may be off a bit right now but his defense (12U) never slumps… He had a great time filling in with some former teammates (and new friends) at Lorenzo Cain facility.

I have a perfect #MLB #postseason bracket thus far…
My NL + friends/family allegiances would say Brewers, but my ‘system’ says it’ll be Tampa Bay. 🤷♂️
#WorldSeries @RaysBaseball @Brewers
🤩 MLB HISTORY‼️ New #MLB postseason and ALL-TIME strikeout RECORD (9-inning game) for @CleGuardians with 21K! 🔥That’s a new postseason record AND also bests the regular-season mark (20K) as well. That’s as @CleGuardians made a comeback from being down 0-2 to the @whitesox #ALDS
Can’t wait for tonight’s deciding Game 5 @MLB #ALDS. I picked @CleGuardians before the series began — Jose Ramirez always impressive — but @whitesox great season story. Edge? Home team gets one. White Sox 2nd-worst contact rate this season; Cleveland Gavin Williams AL K leader 🤷♂️
Couple of weeks have passed but still cool to see recent @MLB @PitchHitRun social media updates highlighting nationwide Pitch-Hit-Run skills competition winners, including my son.⚾️ He recently won the regional contest in Arlington @Rangers after winning OKC’s @OKC_comets in June
