"As a kid growing up in Kansas City, I didn’t long for national dominance. Just relevance, respect. I wanted the country to know that hey, we’re here, and this is a great place to be... But an NFL dynasty? I never even dreamed of this." Words on #ChiefsKingdom's moment. @KCTV5
With Georgia's loss, #Mizzou's now the only school in the country who hasn't lost a game to an unranked opponent since 2023.
Also, Ole Miss, LSU, Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas A&M all have 0 road wins over top 10 SEC teams since 2023. MU ain't alone in road woes, it's hard.
On the mound, that’s Kansas City native, Park Hill High School grad, Aaron Ashby sending the Milwaukee Brewers to their 2nd #WorldSeries in 58 years.
4-0 = Patrick Mahomes
20-23 = Other top 10 Quarterbacks, based on most recent NFL Top 100 list. (Allen, Stafford, Maye, Darnold, Prescott, Goff, Herbert, Burrow, Williams, Hurts) All but Allen/Williams have 2+ Losses. QB driven league and KC's remains the best. #ChiefsKingdom
#Mizzou is the 9th winningest Power 4 team in the country since 2023.
MU has the 4th most conference wins in the SEC since 2023.
Missouri and Georgia are the only P4 teams in the country without a loss to an unranked opponent since 2023.
Put some respect on Eli Drinkwitz's name.
Before Patrick. Before Taylor. There was still #ChiefsKingdom in Kansas City.
The only Power 4 teams in all of college football without a loss to an unranked opponent since the end of 2022:
- Georgia
- #Mizzou
End of list. Every other program has lost to an unranked team at least once in the last 3.5 seasons, and all but Indiana in the last 2.5 seasons.
Top 10 most conference victories in the SEC since 2023.
#Mizzou and Eli Drinkwitz currently rank 4th.
Top 10 winningest Power 4 college football teams since the start of 2023.
Given this week's discourse, not sure many people realize #Mizzou's 32-11 record ranks #9. MU has 10 wins over teams who finished the year with a winning record and not a single loss to an unranked team.

Former #Royals players are guaranteed to win a World Series ring this year. All 16 postseason teams had 2+ Kansas City ties this year, full list below.
My favorite names: Nicky Lopez, Nate Eaton, Samad Taylor, Brewer Hicklen, Carlos Hernández, Brad Keller, Tommy Pham, Grichuk x2.
Final full season #Royals stats:
- 6.65 9th inning ERA (more in reply)
- 28 losses in 8th inning or later
- 3rd most hits in A.L.
- Since 4/20, 2nd most hard hits, 4th best xBA in MLB
- Jensen: 15th most XBH in MLB
- Wacha: 7th best starter ERA in MLB, only AL pitcher with 200 IP
Kansas City's 6.65 ERA in the 9th inning:
- Worst in franchise history
- Worst in baseball this year by half a run
- Worst in baseball since 2024
- If you remove the lowly Rockies and their hitter friendly park, no team since 2020 has had a worse 9th inning ERA than the #Royals
Gary Pinkel started his #Mizzou tenure 1-15 vs top 25 teams. He didn't get his 2nd top 25 win until week 5 of his 7th year. In 15 years as coach, GP had 7 total wins over teams ranked in the top 18. And he's the standard. Just some perspective re: the current Eli Drinkwitz convo.

Soon to be 37-year-old Travis Kelce is still the Chiefs' most reliable pass catcher. Thankful he didn't retire like some wanted. #ChiefsKingdom
In the 9th inning this year, the #Royals have a 6.57 ERA. Worst in all of baseball by 40 points. Worst in franchise history. 73 runs in 100 innings.
Kansas City had a 3.14 ERA in the 9th last year. A 2.73 ERA in 2015. 1.80 in '13. Heck a 3.18 ERA in 2005, when KC lost 106 games!
In the last 37 years, the #Royals have had both a winning August and a winning September, TWO times. 2013, 2014. Both times KC went to the World Series the next year.
This cycle went platinum on Royals twitter and I get the sentiment. But it’s not factual. Even in September...1/2
#Royals have had 9 winning Septembers in 37 years. 3 led to playoffs the next year. So if by annual cycle you mean, a winning Sept. led to nothing 6 times in 37 years, yes. (Last time that happened was 2018) A good finish may mean nothing! But history doesn't deem it irrelevant.
