Chamisa was previously surrounded by unreliable individuals, and if he's not careful, he may find himself in the same situation again. The only viable solution is to establish a new party, organize a congress, and ensure proper structures are in place.

I initially judged him by his appearance, but his facts changed my perspective. He raises critical issues that demand serious solutions if we are to preserve the social contract. People are slowly losing faith in the very institutions meant to protect them❗️

The biggest question is whether this deal will industrialise Zimbabwe or simply replace Western suppliers with Eastern ones. We have engineering talent, mineral wealth and companies like Zimplow, ZFC and Windmill already operating in manufacturing. Why aren’t we negotiating technology transfer, joint ventures and local production so we can manufacture these products ourselves? Why are we discussing what Iran can sell us instead of what Zimbabwe can learn to produce? A good trade deal shouldn’t just supply our needs today; it should reduce our dependence on imports tomorrow. Otherwise, we’re simply changing suppliers, not developing industry
Zimbabwe and Iran are two of the most sanctioned traders on earth but that should not be a weakness but a shared business model. Both countries have survived years of Western financial isolation and Iran has come up with a blueprint to survive. What Zimbabwe needs, Iran makes. Cheap tractors, irrigation pumps, small-scale mining equipment, Fertilizer, chemicals, pesticides, generic pharmaceuticals and medical equipment. Iran wants tobacco, chrome, lithium concentrate, and gold - all things Zimbabwe has in surplus. The West ties trade to a baggage of conditions and weaponizes its finance system. One Executive Order in Washington and your nostro account is frozen; one OFAC designation and DHL won't even carry your documents. The 25% Iran-Zimbabwe tariff threat is the latest example trade is used as a diplomatic stick. Western trade is efficient only if you are already rich, white, and compliant. For a 76% informal economy like Zimbabwe, Eastern and South-South trade - Iran, China, UAE - is structurally easier.

PLEASE SHARE🙏🏾 | I work as an inDrive driver, and this lady tried to scam me out of US$40. It seems she has been scamming different drivers using the same trick. She is currently in police custody after we managed to track her down and catch her. We are at Waterfalls Police Station, where she is being held, and I am here with three other inDrive drivers who were also scammed using the same method. My own experience with her happened on 9 October 2026. I received a call from someone I believe I had previously picked up through inDrive. She asked how much I would charge to take her to Zimre Park. I charged her US$15, but because the trip involved another stop, I charged her US$20. When we arrived in Machipisa, near Mushandirapamwe Hotel, she asked me for US$20, claiming she wanted to give it to someone she said was a phone repair specialist. She promised to pay me US$40 when we reached Zimre Park. She had the man’s number written on a piece of paper and used my phone to call him. They arranged to meet at Jongwe Corner, where she collected her phone. We then proceeded to Zimre Park. Upon arrival, she asked me to park near the Steers parking bay, saying she just wanted to see someone who was parked near KFC before we continued to her residence. And boom! That was the last time I saw her. After waiting patiently for more than an hour, I realised that something was wrong. I decided to look for her, but she had completely disappeared. I requested CCTV footage from the nearby businesses and discovered that she appeared to have planned everything. The footage showed her getting out of my car and walking straight to a light-blue Toyota Ractis, registration number AHC 0954. The vehicle immediately drove off. Everything seemed to have been well planned! I then called the number of the man she had claimed was a phone repair specialist. To my surprise, he was shocked by what had happened and told me that he was also a driver and did not repair phones. I asked him how he had ended up with the woman’s phone. He explained that he had previously given her a lift to her destination, but she had no money to pay him. She had apparently planned to leave him without paying, just as she did to me. However, he quickly realised what was happening, took her phone and told her that she would only get it back once she paid the US$20 she owed him. This appears to be a criminal trick that is being used against different drivers. To my fellow inDrive drivers, please be careful of passengers who ask to borrow money, promising to pay you back when you reach their destination. Do not easily trust such promises, as you may end up losing your hard-earned money.
