Enjoyed this baseball season but it’s over after one more “tough but could have been made” play by Rays’ allegedly good D. Now we have to hope the owners don’t take away too much of next season (and by too much I mean any).

Yelich has two 71-mph singles tonight, one for a run, and the other RBI came on an 80-mph hit by Contreras. Brewers don’t really need the help but the breaks are going their way, too. (Meanwhile, Tampa made a dumb challenge and overslid the bag on SB.)

Nice job by Tampa’s backup catcher, losing a very low-leverage challenge and putting his team in basically a no-challenge situation in a must-win game. (And add the Rays to the long list of teams who don’t understand leverage.)
