The COVID-19 pandemic is a clear example of how science & society are connected. We have NEW units by @LearnInPlaces, @nextgenstoryli1 & @BSCSorg launching in September that explore how different communities are impacted by the virus through the lens of inequalities in society.

I'll be using some @PhETsims virtual labs that are very very good and come with lots of teacher resources. I'll add home made live labs using the amazing sciencejournal.withgoogle.co… and I hope to be able to send home some small size accessories to allow for more hands on activities.

Following the work of @ScienceToolkit I found websites that have animated labs. Next I use the items in the labs and put them into sorts. Last, students make a CER statement using the items. Here is an example about magnetism. app.seesaw.me/pages/shared_a…

I love the virtual labs already mentioned and I am thinking that if I were to use video, I might take a "3 act task" approach. This is used in math but I think it could easily be used in science. nctm.org/Publications/Mathem…
