My life could have been completely different. My father was born in northern Nigeria, where Boko Haram has kidnapped girls and young women and persecuted people for their faith. By the grace of God, I was born elsewhere and did not have to live with that terror. I do not take that for granted.
A lot of you minimize Hamas’s terrorism, then criticize me for refusing to do the same. I am one generation removed from an entirely different life impacted by a terrorist org. That shapes how I see the people whose lives these terrorists destroy. I can see myself in them.
