As my PhD is coming to an end, I'm happy to share the next project I will be working on. At @EawagResearch we will be researching fish movement in the Rhine and Aare. Currently we're testing @ThelmaBiotel equipment. With @BrodersenFish, @LuisAquatics, @biamfrcastro, @DrLuizSilva.
First range tests @ThelmaBiotel for our coming Swiss Rhine-Aare River fish tracking network😀. Starting at very benign lake conditions before heading to the more difficult river environment! It is coming @AquaticTracking
Well done @JelgerE , @biamfrcastro & @LuisAquatics

New paper on vertical movement of #eels on the #shelf in @STOTEN_journal. Not only did we observe the well-known DVM, eels also had reverse DVM and circa-tidal patterns. Behaviour probably linked to bio-energetics, navigation & predator avoidance. doi.org/10.1016/j.scitotenv.…

Having a great time at @icft2023 where I got the opportunity to present my PhD work for @MSCA_RIBES, showing interesting behavioural responses in fish movement related to hydropower development and fishway design.
Last week @MSCA_RIBES visited @RivEM_Karlstad. It was a packed week with interesting workshops, presentations, and discussions and gave us the opportunity to present our research at the Swedish Vettendagarna conference.
